Deere-est
What a clean 7840 for the hours Straight SL also with no Dual Power. Would easily make 8k I would have thought. She was Dual Power, Colm. Decal must have come off a while ago I should think mate.
Deere-est
Tris, Time to be a real truck driver. Step 1. Get a real truck. http://www.drivecat.com/Default.aspx And do what with it? If someone somewhere can get one of them down this lane, good luck to them!! http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=B4333&daddr=Unknown+road&geocode=FaRNGQMdEV28_w%3BFehSGQMdJJS7_w&gl=uk&hl=&mra=mift&mrsp=1&sz=15&sll=51.99117,-4.472466&sspn=0.011178,0.038581&ie=UTF8&ll=51.989558,-4.453969&spn=0.022358,0.077162&t=h&z=

Deere-est
Been a month already since the last update so here are a few more from my weekly trips out over the past weeks. Collected a Ford 7610 from a farm which I thought had one of the best farm names I have seen. . .. First built in 1711, the original house was burn't down in and rebuilt in 1910. From here it was back up through Taunton to pick up an MF30 seed drill which had had it's drawbar welded up. I had to stand it up on it's back to bring it back safely. Deere-est
Aload of straw took me to Wales again, the same place I have taken three loads of hay previously. Back loaded some Masseys from the usual place only this time one in particular had had a pretty hard old life. The cab was 'attached' via two pillars but was in no way safe to transport so I asked the chap there to squat it down. We threw anything loose into the remainder of the cab and to avoid cutting and straps whilst in motion I laid a piece of hardboard on the top and strapped that down over all the rubbish. I got home without any losses so it obviously worked! I don't reckon it's a runner by the way!
Deere-est
The first two came from a farm sale down near Tiverton, both started like new and the 590 in all fairness was a dream, everything worked like new. NO slop i the steering, responsive linkage, loader was nice... Not a bad old thing at all. The 135 was in poor nick but again, good on the key and owned from new. Bought new, one of two 135's at the time. A little Ford 1920 delivered to a customer near our very own Smurf. Picked up a Holder Cultitrac from aplace near him too along with a 188 but didn't get photos of them Shame as the 188 was a nice one. What looks like a nice Manitou Buggy. ... then I noticed the casting where the steering ram fits had snapped off. Used the crane to get it on board which was a bit of a task and did require the help of a JCB to lift the last foot or so onto the bed.
Deere-est
Couple for Mark here, a mint MF700 grain trailer (AS Trailers) and an MF 8 I think it was, a plot combine. I had to take a photo of this immaculate spud grader too as I have spent a few hours at a slightly less shining example..
Deere-est
A load I picked up a couple of weeks ago, the Ford 955 came from Craven Arms, then the two Masseys from up near Harper Adams college. Was a bit of a squeeze in all fairness but there was empty space the otherside of the back actor. My bad! Could have done with a haybob to pick up somewhere really!
Deere-est
Then one afternoon I was asked to pick up a 265 and bring it back to have a new clutch fitted then go out and off hire the 8t digger and bring it back. That sounded like a PDC operation if ever I heard it so there was only one thing he would do in that situation. ... pick'em both up!
Deere-est
Another for Mark, a cracking 'used daily' MF65 which had just unloaded a Welger RP20 (?) round baler up on the Peaks near Buxton. I coldn't get up to the farm but I wish I could have. Farmer told me he had 6 600 series, a collection of vintage David Browns and plenty of others, sounds like an undiscovered place to me! He likes old tractors as he can fix them, all he asks is that they start. I didn't get photos of my return load, my bad again! Which was an MF2680, MF690 and an MF298. A little Iveco with a re-manufactured 165 in the back safely delivered to Sharpness docks on Wednesday. A line up of commercials on the quay awaiting the ship. Deere-est
Another haulier unloading an ex-Tarmac ERF with a Volkswagen Transporter in the back, where there's space - fill it! Some of the other vehicles waiting to go. Quite fancied the black Merc.
Deere-est
From the docks to Cheffins where this lot was sat. Quite what happened to this Massey I don't know but it didn't like it. Fords waiting to go abroad via either container or road. I think it was two 8210's (one Q and one SQ), 7810 and a 7710. Three foreign lorries being loaded, Hungary, Poland and Hull. .. ... I know Hull isn't abroad but if you've ever been there. ... A cracking three stick 365, not sure what the colouring suggests. Any ideas? There is also a female water? connection underneath the radiator cowling side guard.
Deere-est
One for Mark again maybe? Gold badge too and in fine condition. Possibly even another one for Mark. .. Wasn't sure on the cab fitted to this one though. No name plate on it. Oh at last, one for me!! Parked in Marlborough the following morning after seeing Marcus just outside Swindon. . ..tell a lie, he saw me but I didn't see him! Front to back; 178, 575, 178, 590 for my cargo. That's all folks!
