bluegreen
Hi folks, Recently I bought spec. edition of Siku JD7430 with the intention of replaceing one of my 6920s on the carpet farm To be precise the new tractor will takeover as the sprayer tractor in the new year I fitted a set of PDC wheels to get the right look
bluegreen
I made a few changes too the tractor as well which included removing the nob patching &filling hole with miliput and then painting area with JD paint which annoyingly is different shade to siku JD paint I decided to fit a phone antenna just to the side of this area to draw my attention away from paint mismatch! bluegreen
The wheels look right on this model now (which is more than I can say for oversized originals ) but I do have a big gripe about them I had to drill them out! And no matter how careful i was (and im a carpenter) I couldnt get them drilled accurately, so now they "wobble badly" when moving Now PDC in his defence suggested they be drilled on one of those highly accurate press drills! Well who has one of them too hand \ May I politely reccommend that in future they are all pre drilled accurately for customers convienience before sale;)
bluegreen
You may also be wondering wheres the front chassis piece that covers over the front axle?? Well I dont like it & found it is easy to hacksaw off behind the axle and yet not lose any screw fixings this I think you will all agree leaves a more realistic uncluttered appearance beneath front weight You will also see that ive screwed on the front weight (nicely made by PDC) and therefore It can easily be removed for flexibility

bluegreen
I was quite confident that a 7430 would make its way to Agritechnica show (who wasnt!) but I wasnt expecting it to have new 4 post cab & stainless steel exhaust:D that was a bonus I was however dissapointed that the new UH Amazone sprayer hasnt appeared yet as I was keen too match it up with 7430 & replace the less detailed Hardi \ Oh well I will have to be patient I guess. Hope you like the pics
bluegreen
Oh I forgot a few other details, I painted the wheels with lemon yellow enamel paint, had to fill the front ones with milliput first. 3 coats & then painted whell nuts silver Also when rear wheels are off I paint underside of mudguards & area hidden by wheels matt black and finally on cab painted lights silver & background mattblack , same as real thing
