NewHolland2
Well after a long wait my Grey Fergie is finally up and running again. Went out early this morning and got it a new battery and off she went quite happily. Going to replace the dynamo brushes soon and then I'll be able to power my flashing beacon without draining the battery. Look out soon for pics of me tootling around on it in a local field in the near future.? ;)
Tractorman810
you got any up to date ones then?paint finished ect
NewHolland2
There isn't much noticeable difference from the last pics other than the engine is re-built with all parts fully painted. The rear end will be painted Grey next year, however I am really looking forward to getting back behind the steering wheel after a 6 month absense (due to the engine sitting in bits on a pallet in my garden). ;)
Tractorman810
no worries nh,glad to see she ran first time, nearly done and on to the 3600 eh
NewHolland2
That's the idea TM. Not much more to buy for her, just a set of rear wings and then she'll be as fit as a fiddle. It always amazes me, she starts first time even after ages sitting without working. The genius of good old Harry Ferguson eh. ;)

Don't get me wrong though I do like Fergie's, after-all it's my first tractor and has brought me plenty happy times fiddling away with wires and bolts. :)

NewHolland2
Aye, farmers that are collectors would probably be the best bet to look after them and are maybe less likely to trade them in

NewHolland2
Well, I replaced the dynamo brushes today and she is running as good as ever. Won't have to worry about buying a new battery for a while now. I'm going out later to try out my flashing beacon in the dark, will try and get some pics but no promises.
