if your rolling seed make sure it is bone dry if not it forms something over the top of the hole and it takes a while longer for the seed to come through thats what i have been told  but we use the cambridge roller  ;)

well another reason here to use a flat roller on reseeded ground is to bury stones

Yes , we always use a heavy flat roll after reseeding grassland, gives a nice flat finish and preeses any stones in if you intend to mow, lot kinder on the mower.

i say cambridge rolls would be ok for reseeded ground but for the bigger boulders stones you find in my area a flat roller full of water will bury them better than cambridge rolls  :)
