Tractorman810 Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Well guys its fertaliser time again, so as requested heres another competition for your silage guys to run in slightly different rules for this one Please read below before entering decades will be Pre 90's After 90's Only 1 entrey per person per section with a max of 8 pictures per entrey Please title your posts Spreading 2008 - Ford Farm spreading 1992 or simialar When submitting an entry you should first try and indicate how many acres your outfit deals with and try to match the machinery used with the workload......... KEEP IT AS REALISTIC AS POSSIBLE 2. The pictures can show any part of the fertiliser spreading process 3. Any item of machinery can be used but try to keep it realistic. 4. It is ok to use older machinery in for example a 2005 collection considering some contractors and many farmers still do use old machines 5. A separate section will be made "in this board" to allow people to comment on the entries, anyone posting comments in the competition will automatically receive a NUMPTY AWARD, any OT posts under this title, other then the entries will be deleted 6. Once all the entries have been received a poll will be created, where each member has * vote. There will be no prize for the winner, this is just for fun 7. All photos must be uploaded at the same time. No 'reserving' slots for future photos. Any reserved slots will be deleted and you may be disqualified * - number of votes to be confirmed after competition closes depending on number of entries Now this competition will run between the following dates 07.04.2008 until 10.05.2008 dates and rules subject to change at mods discretion so post away lads and lasses, and have fun Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Powerstarâ„¢ Posted April 13, 2008 Share Posted April 13, 2008 We contract over 2500 acres of Exmoor and surounding areas. We have 4 fertiliser spinners, 2 Amazone's a Bogballe and a Kuhn Axera. Here we see the Kuhn Axera woking with the Fendt 926 (Always spread fertiliser every year, yeah the tractor is a bit big for spreading fertiliser but it's a traditon ) And the year old Claas Ares & McHale forks. rich.new holland Posted April 14, 2008 Share Posted April 14, 2008 R.B.contracting do around a 750 acres ,this changes changes year too year ,we normally have a jd 6920 with starfire as it shows the correct width but as it was on other work we put the fendt 818 on loading we used the new jcb 531-70 and we were putting down yara 27,5,5 first pic of the fendt being loaded and about to start the 19 acre Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rich.new holland Posted April 14, 2008 Share Posted April 14, 2008 as the fendt was being loaded the new jd 7530 doing its first job of picking up the manure spreader and taking it back to base after the driver of the mccormick that was on it left it in one of the other fields he took the mcorrmick off to take home to use on his wood chipper the jd came a bit late though ,as if it had come a couple of days earler it would have gone on the fert spreader as it also has starfire like the 6920 thanks for looking Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
markduck Posted April 14, 2008 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Spreading 2008- Wings Farm/ MD Contractors Wings Farm is mixed arable and beef farm the arable land is about 650acres. On the contracting side we cover about 1500 acres. The main tractor used would be a fastrac 3220 with floats or standard wheels depending on conditions, but that is out of service this year due to alterations, so the Fendt 818 took its roll. The spreader is an Amazone ZG-B 8200, new this year, the old spreader was a Kuhn, now tucked up in the shed in case of breakdowns. The crew leaving the yard.
