  1. My first purchase of 2013 is a Stewart grain trailer from Dan of Three Oaks Farm models.
  2. I had thought about that, but I believe the loader would be too big for the size of tractor. But will see once it is complete as it shouldn't take too much to attach it if it looks alright.
  3. I have got to adjust the cab at the front and then re-glaze it. That's why at the moment in the pictures the frame of the cab sits higher than the bonnet.
  4. Here is a picture of it temporarily assembled. Here is a picture of it next to the Wiking JD 6930 for size comparison.
  5. First of all I will say Happy New Year to all. A while back I did a conversion of a Wiking JD 6930 into a 6430 it sat in my display cabinet, every time I saw it, there seemed to be something not quite right with it. So I decided to start from scratch getting measurements of the real thing and plenty of photographs. The main donor model is the Wiking JD 6930 other donors include UH Valtra N142, a UH Valtra C and a UH Deutz K100. The chassis of the Wiking has been shortened the back axle raised slightly. The front of the cab has still got to be modified and re-glazed. The rear wheels are from the Valtra N with reduced track width. The front axle compromises of parts from all donor models. The front tyres are from the Deutz. The front linkage is from Artisan32. The bonnet has been shortened and lowered and the same for the front grill. Still need to do some modification to the side grills as they are too big at the moment. Well that is as far as I have got, so enough talking here are some pictures. First up it disassembled Next one showing the difference between how the bonnet started at what it looks like now. Next one showing some of the modifications to the chassis.
  6. My last buy for 2012 is a little gift to myself, a 4th generation iPad (the one with the retina display). Great piece of kit, loading web pages so much quicker than my computer. Spent most of the morning downloading apps.
  7. I had a brilliant time, even though i wasn't there long. My purchases consisted of: UH Valtra C120 in green UH Valtra N142 in black, both which were bought from Udimore as a possible JD 6430 conversion Albutt muck grab from Dan of Three Oaks Farm Models Ertl Precision JD 8530 not sure who the stall owner was, but again bought for a JD 7930 conversion From Mandy of HLT: Plastruct rod to finish my current building Cattle drench set Electric extension reel Extending ladder Jump leads Fuel tank From Ian of Farmmodelspares: Tool chest Two different weight blocks Bar Beacon
  8. Great pictures, just the right amount of detail, not too cluttered.
  9. I bet your farm staff can't wait till silage season to try out those new trailers, impressive line up. The ploughing pictures are awsome, especially as that Kuhn plough can be so fiddley, credit to you.
  10. Will be watching this topic, as i plan to add terrain and different textures to my layout once i start it, so might ppick up a few ideas. Keep the pictures coming.
  11. Some absolutely cracking models to come from UH. All i can say is i'm going to be even more broke than what i am now
  12. On that model i ended up bending the rear axle, i was applying that much force and still didn't get the wheels off. I could only put it down to they must have used glue. However on another model they came apart as easy as anything.
  13. Had a great day met several fellow FTF member's. My purchases consisted of: UH NH T7.210 Blue Power from Udimore UH NH BB 9090 Baler Siku Claas Axion 840 on duals Britains general purpose trailer Snap On Garage Essentials Some background scenes Albutt fork from Dan All from Mandy and Frazer: 15' Metal gates Knapsack Sprayer Animal Bedding Decals Barbed wire reel Finally pre-ordered one of the cattle crushes made by Westdown Farm models
  14. A better exhaust manifold for my subaru and some new Hunter wellies for the shooting season as my current pair have developed holes and are slowly falling apart.
  15. I'm affraid this is not for sale, and i'm not producing them for sale as of yet. I do make model sheds only for myself at the moment, but have already been asked to make one for someone else, which i will start once i finish mine.
  16. Its got basic mods on it at the moment, might be around the 236bhp, as standard they are 220bhp,but i have plans to get it around the 350bhp, but that is in the future.
  17. Purchase a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX this evening, will try and post some pictures tomorrow, goes like the clappers. ;D
  18. These are looking good, will be keeping an eye on this topic. Quick question, what do you use for filler on your models?
  19. It should hopefully still be the same or even better, as the drawbar is now made from bigger and stronger steel. But no doubts it will be pushed too its limits. ;D
  20. I belive the real thing must have a second extension, because its on the model but they have decided to make it so that it is permentley in, i reckon they may have done this for strength, as it could be a bit flimsy with the extra extension.
  21. I belive it is from a 1/24 scale kit for extras on Iterali trucks, i was going to put a 1/50 scale one on but it just looked too small, but will probably be alright on a fertiliser spreader.
  22. The JD 7930 with a respectable load, still not up to the standard of PDC yet, but with a bit of practice i might get there. ;D
  23. This is my low loader with crane, based on the UH Dangreville tri-axle. It has had the plastic wood taken out and proper wood put in instead, re-sprayed NH blue to match the rest of the trailers in my fleet and a crane put on the front, which is a plastic kit, that has then been modified to fit on the front of the trailer. The drawbar on the trailer has been extended to accomodate the crane. Enough talking here are some pictures:
