Powerstarâ„¢
People round this way drive with no roll bars. And pictures of road runs not everyone has a roll bar, so seems it's a slack requirement.
NewHolland2
I'm sure a few people (myself included) don't want to fit them to keep the tractors original and also to save on costs...... ;)
Powerstarâ„¢
Aye, doesn't look nice either, on a positive note there's somewhere to stick the beacon

fenryk
The fact is that before roll bars too many tractor drivers were killed by rolling tractors. I remember one on a farm down the road from where I lived. I appreciate that without being belted in the driver can be thrown into danger, but it must be safer. NewHolland2
I'm sure it is, but I'm not too keen on the idea, and I think it spoils the original look a bit...... :)
MJB1
ifyou are the owner of ?the tractor & it is for your own personal use (not for contracting or for hire )then it's not a requirement ,but if other people are at any time going to drive it then it must have a roll bar else the insurance is void .if ?the person using the tractor (not the owner) he must drive it at his own risk, if he had an accident ,his insurance will not cover him either. this actually happened to a chap a few miles away when he borrowed his neighbours tractor & broke his back when a bale on the trailer he was towing fell onto him
NewHolland2
Thanks for clearing that up mjb. I wouldn't need one then since it's only me that has to drive it...... ;)
Powerstarâ„¢
Snap, i'm the owner and driver and I don't intend for anyone else to drive it anyway?
NewHolland2
I can only think of letting two other people I know drive it, no-one else, it's mine...... ;)
