  1. Main painting done this week. Hopefully I can assemble and detail over the weekend. Everything you see in the picture has been 3D printed.
  2. Yes, I have one..... and until you asked that question, I didn't realise there was a certificate with it! Mine has been displayed in the box, so hadn't been opened until now. The certificate is taped under the plastic tray. You learn something new every day! Pictures as requested. Also found a picture I took at Beauvais, outside the Engineering centre, I think probably after Agritechnica?
  3. Based on production of 2012 pieces, it doesn’t feel that rare. I guess I don’t have a feel for how often they come up for sale. 100 euros, feels on the high side to me.
  4. I have one of these. It was to commemorate being voted tractor of the year. There was a real machine painted gold and used on the stand at SIMA or Agritechnica. It was parked outside the reception at Beauvais for a while.
  5. Decided to start something new, even though there's already several projects ongoing ! Picked this up quite a while ago... It's a JCB 808 excavator kit in 1/50th scale. Produced by Nigel Paine, it's been 3D printed. Quite simple to build, but is quite detailed and I'll be interested to see how it turns out.
  6. That does look like it would be an interesting build. I guess I really should have said a Maxxum style can, I can’t remember if it was actually a Maxxum cab ( I think it was). I’m going from a 30 year old memories! I wish I had had a phone camera back then!
  7. Actually, now you say that, I do remember there being two tractors in a screened off part of the workshops that were just that....85 series with Maxxum cabs fitted. I don’t think they were runners, just styling builds. Eventually we scrapped them. i hadn’t even remembered that until you said it!
  8. I would have to agree John. I’m going from memory here, but Project LEGO was a ground up new modular tractor. I moved onto the design team in 1990. It got cancelled late 1991, I assume as you say because of funds, as not long after, the Doncaster design team was shut down and engineering moved back to the US. All but a handful of Engineers for local problem solving were made redundant, including myself.....that’s when I left.
  9. Fantastic work John, really impressive model. You might be interested in the following picture....while doing some tidying up over Xmas I found a folder of old info including these copies of some drawings dated 1991. These were late design concepts for the 85 Series replacement, at the time Project LEGO, that became the 4200 Series tractor.
  10. Amazing work John. Can’t wait to see it painted.
  11. Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you all have a great day.
  12. Front weight is part of the chassis rails, not a separate piece.
  13. Managed to finish this Scaledown County Super 4 over the weekend. Been sitting part finished and unpainted for a few years, so finger out time to finish it off. Now to the next one!
  14. Hmmm......wonder if they’d be interested in my new artwork, created this afternoon after many months of thought. I’m calling it “apple”.....Thinking I could do another if they like it.
  15. Best bit is after the first sold, he did a second edition that sold for the same amount!!! And people talk about die cast manufacturers milking the molds!
  16. Finally finished the Scaledown Leland Bray 384. Really like this kit. Hope to post some more pics up over the weekend.
