  1. Same old Aberdeen always raining and cold Very cold here in Baku has been below zero for the best part of a week now and we have had snow \ Roll on the 1st feb when I get back to Aberdeen probably snowing again by then

  3. Has been snowing and is -4 at the moment is with the wind chill about -12 welcome to winter in Azerbaijan!!
  4. Bremner, I do like the crush and the new building it is coming along nicely.
  5. I work as a contractor for a major oil company on an onshore oil terminal. The site is 730 hectares in total. It is one of the largest oil and gas terminals in the world and is produceing 1 million barrels a day of oil that is pumped through azerbaijan, georgia and turkey to a port in the med called cheyan.

My brothers father in law is one of the nightshift engineers at scotia and they all have a play on the new hollands and the golf carts No nice tractors on my current job in azerbaijan just old russian tractors. One old for with a 25ft marshal trailer. All the construstion gear is volvo and cat.

So now I know who was to blame for me getting offshore all those time it was snowing and I thought I would get a couple extra days at home Yeah it is a huge area scotia what do bristows have for their scraping and deicing, at scatsta in shetland they have a couple big massey's cannot remember the numbers and also a John deere again cannot remember the number as it was september 2005 last time I flew from there.
  9. There are 3 helicopter companies that fly offshore from aberdeen bond who are contracted just to BP. Bristow and CHC Scotia. I have flown from bristow and CHC scotia to offshore. CHC have a deutz for deicing. They also have a couple of new hollands for moving the helicopters around. I have only flown on the super puma but they use other types as well.

  11. The trailers are taking shape nicely. I live in the Stewart heartland about 15 miles from where they are built. They are great trailers and are used by many farmers near me. Are these just for you or are you planning on making more? The sizes mentioned on the stewart website are for the grain side only which is 5'
  12. Just ordered the plastruct today so shed should startgetting built once I get home from work in 2 weeks. Will update with pics once started.

  16. Thanks all for the advice for my first building have decided on a dutch barn. Is it easier for the first building to start with wood or plastruct type materials??
  17. This is my first post on here, I am about to start a new farm layout. I have cleared a 4 metre by 1.5 metre space for it already have a couple of graham's buildings for it (the large grain building and the cattle shed with feed passage that has the wind breakers on one end that are on here and also a general purpose shed.) Also planning to try my hand at a couple as well but I a worried about getting the sizes right. Looking for advice on how to get the building sizes right and what to use for tilled fields and just general tips.
