  1. Which now means... you get a new vehicle and within 6 months MAXIMUM it's not new any more...

HOWEVER... I believe this is what the new system was designed for... to take the peaks and troughs out of the new vehicle market...

A question for our American Friends... Oh... and you Rick... Our new vehicle registration system works on a number being assigned twice per year (as detailed above)... but just to make it clear...

The Current reg number is 56...

In March 07 the new reg number will be 07...

Until September 07... when the reg number will be 57...

The question is... how does your numbering system work over there... do you have a letter or number that signifies the year of registration...  ???

To be honest mate, i'm not sure of the answer as the newest fullsize tractor i've driven was from the 50s!  :D :D :D

Some of the TTS memebers are real farmers and mechanics, I would try asking it in the Real Toy Talk section.  ;)

  2. Been pretty mild and sunny here for the past two days...... :'(

When are we getting some of the white stuff? :'( ;)

You can have what's left of last night's snow Mart...I got my last farm pictures until spring today, so I don't want to see any of it anymore!  :D :D :D

  3. Good yarn: nice pics  ;)

    Cheers John!

    Cheers Rich!

Oh Tim... they just get better... so pleased I was allowed a go in the Massey at last  :-* - sorry about the mess I left on the seat  :-[ - I was excited....

As for Bazza... I just LOVE that description... the "evil" Bazza... just sums him up really  ;)

Like the digger shots as well... very nice mate... I keep expecting a "snow clearing" one.. when's your snow booked for Tim  ???

Cheers Marky, you do realize that cleaning the MF is your job though.  :D :D ;) As a matter of fact we got a bit of snow this morning, I think I will have a second snow removal journal next sunday.  :)

  4. FARM JOURNAL #24

This week has been slow on the farm, we are trying to work on small projects and tidy up the farm for the spring. We have had extremely cold days over the past few days, fortunately all of our employees showed up for work each day, and all that needed to get done was finished.

Our excavator has been giving us problems ever since Christmas, so we will be sending it to the dealer for repair. In the meantime, we are using the IH backhoe to continue digging the areas of the pond that have not frozen over:

Meanwhile, Marky is in the skid steer picking up any loose dirt that may have fallen into the pond while digging out the pond:

Dumping the dirt in the dirt pile:

Meanwhile, another farm employee is moving our recently purchased forage chopper and wagon down to the barn:

Because Marky had not attempted to vandalize any of the John Deere's over the past week, he got to ride out into the woods in the 3630 to search for the evil Bazza:

He searched all of the trails and fortunately found nothing, so he turned around and headed back for the farmyard:

Hate to say it, but that's all for this week folks.

  5. Another great conversion from Dave (dmac)

This tractor started out as a Scale Models "05 Louisville Show" cab version. Removed the cab and used the fenders from a SM 1100 shelf model. Replaced the original front tires/rims with 12.5L-16's and dish rims. Kept the stock rear tires & cast rims but replaced the original axle with 3/16 rod with painted axle extensions. Kept the stock plastic 3pt hitch and at some point may decide to replace it with a metal one. Added a rear fender light and plastic head lights. Hadn't been able to come up with a stock version w/f 1150 open station so did a little shuffle of what I had.

  6. 3 and 4 hp Briggs & Stratton 4 stroke engine Tim  ;)

Not my cup of tea really... but it's got Massey on it... so I have to have it  :-[:D :D :D::)

Intereesting mate, wonder why they chose Briggs and Sttratton over Tecumseh as they use Tecumseh engines on the lawn mowers. Suprisingly enough, that has to be the first walk behing roto tiller with a vertical shaft engine. Must be a weight balance issue.  ???
