Heres my newest restoration / conversion.I have fitted a rear linkage from a Britains MF 135 to a scrap E27N.Hope you like it folks.

I am going to have to think of some other tractors to convert now you all know my secrets !

Yes it was a complete strip down ,I stripped the paint off the body and wheels and went back to bare metal.I fitted a corgi mf 165 exhaust,corgi ford 5000 air cleaner and the ploughing light was a piece cut off the rear light from an old  britains bauer vacuum tanker.I painted the silver rear rims in by hand and touched in the headlights and ploughing light silver as well .Now that you all know how to do it I will be out of bussiness ! ;)Good luck lads and lassies ,you might have more luck in finding some rough tractors to use  :

I could do some more if and when I can gewt some donor tractors .

I can't find the original topic but TM810 was going to do a Qcab conversion recently.

I have found some of my old photos for any one whos interested.

Those dinky david browns are lovely little models as well .

You have some nice old models there mate.

Yes , I use the one piece white metal floorpan which I buy from Brian Norman .

Its a bit of a fiddle but you basically cut out most of the centre section which weakens it a lot.

I then file down the centre of the 6600 casting flat (where the gear levers would be) .

Then you can have the flat floor in the cab .

I usually add a couple of pieces of wire to look like gear levers ,which if you drill them through the floorpan into the 6600 casting underneath ,also help to hold it all in place.

I hope this all makes sense ,its hard to describe how to do it really.

I just bought the bits and had a bash .

As you know though,white metal can be a bit flimsy to work with ,so take care .

I have built a few bubble cab 6600 and 7600s Sean .

Its a bit fiddly and not my favourite job in the world but its worth it in the ned.

Any member can have a painted one for ?25 including UK postage. Painting and fitting the windows is quite time consuming. You just need to tell me what DDN its for. Orange or grey wheels?
