Looks great Steve... for those of us who are not familiar with this tractor.... what have you done to it to make it look this good
All I have done at the moment Marky is add the dual wheels and dump the front linkage and added a siku rear linkage .I have also fitted the beacon and aerial .To be fair its quite a nice model in standard trim .
I am building and selling as much as I can to save for this Motocrosser !

looking good there 1972 farming, looks a little flat on the front. will you put some weights on or a different linkage.
Any ideas which style of weights would look best ,I have a spare JD Weight Block with the pin in it .
Would that work ?

We have woken up to a lovely covering this morning .
My lad will have the rolly JD 6400 out later towing cars out of hedges !
I expect theres plenty more snow around the rest of the country .

Sorry, bit late getting in on this Topic Steve. Looks nice already, with the weightyness of the metal parts and your approach to painting this model is going to feel proper tough. I take it this cab/floorpan is available with the Super Q cab lid with the spot lights etc? Do you have the number of conversions you have done to date as they seem to be rolling into the FTF yard on a fortnightly basis?!!
I am affraid I haven't kept a track of all of them but its quite a few .
In the workshop at the moment are 2 County 1884s ,2 Ford TW 20's,MF 135 with Duncan cab and MF 135 with 4 WD .

re;Tim Toys / Deutz 4260 how hard was it to swap it all over 72F? as i sort of let the MF side of things go when britains did the 3680 & am trying to catch up with it all again now
I am in the process of doing it so I will post up some progress pitures as and when I do it .

I am glad you are pleased with your Masseys Marky .
They were the first time I had tackled anything a bit out of the ordinary .
I know where I can improve things a little bit here and there and may try to make a 175/178 or similar .
I may build one with a duncan cab .

Chassis change aswell, I thought it was just the Deutz wheels. Looks pretty good in all fairness. As it is when it is in the box it looks completely wrong scale but with what you have done it does look alot different. To be honest, for a 'not rocket science' conversion that is pretty sharp looking Steve.
cheers mate

Is that the Tim one?
yes tim body work on britains deutz chassis .
not rocket science but quite effective .
Theres a lot to do yet like beacons ,mirrors ,steps etc etc .

OK Deere-est I will post up progress photos .

Crickey never seen one of those before, great find that one.
yes it was a nice find,I think it may have been put into the boxes with the models .
If I remember I think it cost me ?16

wow!!!!!!!! anybody came across that truck before on the leaflet? i like it!
i would love a britains fordson, but im not prepared to pay the price.....
im thinking of getting a crescent fordson and re-wheeling it and a new linkage.
good idea re the crescent fordson

Is it dated Steve? The circus carousel was made pre-war if my memory serves me right ?
Unforunately its not dated but it must be pre-war to have the lorries in this design .

yes ,well spotted .The boxed stes on the catalogue look to be herald but some of the others are the plastic animals made from the lead moulds .Some interesting animals were made in this period .
