  1. We buried another pet today, our kitten/young-cat who had been missing since last Thursday.
  2. Taking the mower to be repaired (again) and helping out the local landscaper who is repairing our wall (the rubber track on his 360 came off in the mud).
  3. He wanted me in the Fastrac to keep up with the combine as the distances between fields/silos/farms is significant. My trailer work was pretty good I think, considering I hadn't done much prior to this week, but again he reckons I need more time to get up to speed.
  4. From the limited time I've spent in the cab, I know I can't yet drive one very well! Perhaps it was the unusual, almost double-clutching needed to get up to speed. Take the bumps well with all-round suspension but the turning circle is poor.
  5. No don't rest on your laurels Mandy, keep eating healthily! (Says the super-fit nutritionist, not)
  6. Well Pot Noodle is easier to remove than plastic weld. Or is it? \
  7. Well it's been confirmed today, and I new it was coming really. It's just him and a thousand acres or so, and just one tractor to do most of the work. Besides the JCB still has it's sprayer mounted and there's no way he was going to let me 'play about' with it still attached. In fact I was fitting a ground sheet for the tractor today (a bugger to fit), and it looks like it will be mostly spraying with that one for the forseeable future. But he has kept my number and will ask his boss if he wants any other jobs doing. Also fitting some new parts onto the Vaderstad drill this morning, which was fun. Thanks for the support though fellas, it's been a great week all the same
  8. Yes Tris, and would have been the same today were it not for a braking/hydraulic fault found on the NH. I had to run it into TH White near Tetbury and I think that's the last I'll see of her! Alas I haven't had time to master the 3230 Fastrac- and they haven't had the time to teach me, so the summer harvest job is probably off! (T7030 just too slow to keep up). Ah well fun while it lasted..
  9. More cleaning grain bins today on a new site, and my first go on the Manitou. At the end of the day, a hour's drive back to farm #1 in the Fastrac 3185 carrying a mounted Knight sprayer, then back to farm #2 in the much slower T7030 with its 'jelly' steering, carrying a topper.
  10. Today's posts have given me a good giggle! Today I mostly bin cleaning out grain silos with a big hoover and some brooms. (boss-man had an air hose and compressor which we moved around with the Manitou). Oh and an early 'play'with the NH T7030. Tomorrow: more of the same, but on another site . I'll get a go on the Fastrac though!
  11. Toshiba 19" tv, number plate for my trailer (well two, after Halfords halfwit read it incorrectly) and a tank full of diesel.
  12. Still no Lantra RT Forklift certificate from the College, and now Lantra are telling me there is no record of me taking the test in the first place! I won't know what to tell my new boss next week...
  13. Ah yes,I was getting funny looks for taking plant and agri vehicle photos. Most unusual for me was seeing a skid steer Bobcat with a breaker attachment!
  14. What are the improvements over the previous version Paul? Is it possible to remove the cab?
  15. 2 x 4-function trailer lamps, 1 number plate lamp, electronic tyre pressure tester, 2 seat covers and a chenille super mitt.
  16. A small power cut has destroyed the set-top box, so no tv for me.
  17. Well I hope to go to the Ursus museum/factory in Warsaw, not sure if I'm going to the provinces though.
