  6. the last sugar beet factory in Ireland closed 2-3 years ago, so i doubt if there's any grown here now. 20-25 years ago there was 4 sugar beet factors in Ireland (Tuam, Thurles, Mallow and Carlow) Sign of the times and globalisation

  11. thanks for that I thought it might be alright as I did have a Fiat 880 DT at one stage, have to say as a briatain model I did like it. must go shopping for a few parts for it now.
  12. I was out at my parent's house over the weekend and happened to come across some remains of 3 tractors from of mine and my brother's britians collection. I am considering restoring them. I can identify 2 of the 3. One beginning a Volvo and another the remains of a Autoways Ford 7710 but not sure of the third one, it might be a fiat? Any help in identifying it would be appreciated. There's also a Ford 6600 than needs some TLC.
  13. like the two last detail pictures of the 5000, hate to say it but i think i will have to get one
  14. As a relative newcomer, I have to say I was initially quiet surprised to read how certain threads were allowed to develop the way the did and to see photos containing 5 and 6 of the same items, not realising that they were selling or indenting to sell it.. (that didn’t take too long for that to change however) I will say however its going to be hard to draw the line between commercialisation and what’s not on the forum, if I ask a question as to where I could get say corrugated sheeting for the roof of a model shed, if someone posts a link to a web site, or names a shop well that in itself is free advertising for the supplier. Will that be acceptable or not? Will people making reference to custom models by others be allowed eg my Joe Bloggs MF 165. It is an indirect form of advertising for the custom builder? It will have to be all or nothing, in terms of naming otherwise there will be constant rows and the friendliness of the forum will disappear.
