Spalding Tractor Show... April 2009... a few pictures
Marmitemania replied to Lord Ferguson's topic in Events and Shows
I was lucky enough to go today as its under 40 miles away from my house so under an hours journey, it was as always a good day and I like to look at the pics marky always puts up to see if I can spot anything I missed, the FTF industrial tractors look brilliant I had a nosey at them but didn't speak to anyone because they were always busy, and because im a miserable git ;D -
Whats your latest Farm / Construction buy - Year 2009
Marmitemania replied to FB's topic in General Hobby Discussion
A reasonable day at Spalding, thought it was not as busy as other times, anyway I bagged a Britains DB 990 £16 another MF 7200 combine £20, nice little fleet of these now, a Same rubin for £5 , Case CX80 £10, Renault cergo with loader £14 but seen on another stand for £10 but never mind, Flexicoil packer £25 dear but they seem to go for good money and have wanted one for ages, and a JD 8230T with the 840i sprayer set for £18. All Britains all boxed. I dont think there was as many bargins as the has been other times, nonetheless always a good day. -
Marky's visit to Beauvais... the home of MF tractors...
Marmitemania replied to Lord Ferguson's topic in Farm Talk
Thanks for sharing the pictures marky. I trust they fitted you with a restraining leash and drool catch bag. . I would love to have the chance too look around a big factory like that, closest ive been too a factory tour was the Jaguar factory at castle bromwich, not as big as the MF factory. -
No I dont think you are asking to much, seen the farm version go for over £30 on ebay, even go for £15/20 unboxed. Ive already got two boxed ones so Im sorted.

Maybe you should put a bit of cardboard down the back of your trousers just to be on the safe side.
-
Yeah didnt put the two together Gwagen, does look almost a shade of pink though
-
Surely the suzuki should be the *** wagon espcially the wideboy version (hairdressers car) ;D
-
Nice collection and you have the Britains FTF 6600

Just completed my survery, as said before I hope they read and take notice as I think I have put some very good ideas in my letter to them.

My boiler that I posted about last night is now working, all it needed was the combustion chamber front refiting, as the air pressure switch needs to be in a sealed enviroment for it to work. The only fly in the ointment is if I had not took off the front, or I had put it back on after I had fitted the thermistors it would have worked, so I have called out a fitter even though they couldn't fix it and charged us £45 for the privalidge, and spent money on an air pressure switch for nothing, nevermind at least its working again and the kids and wife have'nt frozen to death, the heating not working didn't bother me as im lucky and never really feel the cold, but having to boil the kettle to have a shave was wearing a bit thin.

Another one for the shopping list, I like the look of that, and as everyone else has said its something a bit different, apart from the fact its another JD.
-
Looks good Noel, I like your machinery shed.
-
Brill pictures Britainsnut the front overhang on those JD crawlers never ceases to amaze me, is that the Mcalpine crane at Kettering in the background of one of those pictures.

Mattias 8210, a real one this time.
Marmitemania replied to Mattias71's topic in FTF Member Machinery
Looks very well Mattias -
I to think the battery position will spoil it if its left in that position, maybe they could try and incorperate it in to the front weight block or something along those lines. The rest does look good and the areial could be turned into a radio areial.

Britains Boxed Range Rover just sold for £20 + P&P :o I wasnt aware that they wre worth that
-
I would shift those beasts if I were you before you carry on with any more work. ;D Looks great

Very smart layout, Im hopeing its going to inspire me to get on and do one as ive moved all my stuff to my dads new house (which is on a farm) and its in a fair sized spare room. The buildings and the detail are great I would be happy if I could come up with something half a good.
