  1. Headed to Berwick to get some shopping today and chanced upon some harvesting at Chirnside on the way home. Typical, you wait for ages for a Lexion Terra Trac and then three come along at once! I eventually arrived home 435 photographs and one flat camera battery later. I'm still finding chaff in, erm, unlikely places. The shots were taken in three separate fields, all within about a mile of each other. Harvesting still at the moment on the farm here and on neighbouring land. Weather forecast looks awful for tomorrow (amber weather warning for 80mph gales), so I think folk are getting done what they can, while they can.
  2. Popped in for the first time in a while to buy diesel (usually a tad expensive here) to be confronted with rather a large selection of Britains models the minute I walked in the door. Just in case any of you are along the A68 in the Scottish Borders...!
  3. Oil Seed Rape stubble being cut near Eccles Tofts, Berwickshire, 21 August 2011:
  4. I'll hang on to my cash for the neon purple edition with polka dots
  5. Near Sinclairshill, Berwickshire, 6 June 2011:
  6. Saw the first cut had taken place near here, with a few fields near Coldingham, Berwickshire having been cropped on Thursday.
  7. With the amount of UNPAID overtime I do, I think I deserve them
  8. Amazon has stock now, released April 7th (product details).
  9. We've had to change our holiday plans, so unfortunately I wont be there :'(
  10. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ferguson-Tractor-Manual-Restoring-Well-known/dp/0857330101/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1302022169&sr=8-1 Just in case anyone has missed this. I think the reviewer has got the wrong end of the crankshaft - these books (and I have several of the aircraft titles) are mostly lavishly illustrated hardbacks on the topic in question and not like the conventional Haynes manuals. I haven't seen this title, but would definitely have a look. Sample pages here: http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Bookfeature_FergusonView?new=Y&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001
  11. Three versions of that baler exactly the same -- overkill for sure. Nice Massey, surely some groundcare machinery should be released to go with it?
  12. Was at the show yesterday and met up with BC and Toolbox Tam in the afternoon for a blether, and to lighten my wallet at the G&M stand. An entertaining enough day, but I didn't think there were anywhere near as many exhibits as in previous years, especially inside, and the continued use of the cattle pens is diabolical for viewing. Still, good to meet up with a couple of FTF members!
  13. Here's a wee video of the mowing on Saturday. My first attempt on here, it's alittle bit jumpy and goes in and out of focus a bit, but nevertheless hopefully of interest. Thanks to BC for video upload advice
  14. I had been planning on going to the vintage show in Selkirk today, but there has been heavy rain until earlier this morning and I don't fancy a mudbath!
  15. The way things are going, I'll probably come along for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon and hopefully splash some cash at G&M's stand!
  16. A few shots from this afternoon here near Greenlaw in Scottish Borders:
  17. http://www.telegraph.co.uk:80/news/uknews/7982808/Former-member-of-ELO-killed-by-hay-bale-while-driving.html Great shame, seemed like quite a flamboyant character in the initial days of the band before they went ultra-commercial.
  18. It's been a long time coming! Yeah, everything going fine...I could even see some combining from my classroom windows last week!
  19. I'm loving it, Bill. Yes, hopefully many more shots to come!
