Please can someone tell me what time the doors open to the public on sunday?

Two great points JEP, totally agree on this. The way I look at Britains collecting is that it gives me many hours of enjoyment, granted while spending lots of money! At the end of the day I have something to show for all the money spent. I can look back at my models and remember, however, the moeny spent on a saturday in town is rather more difficult to remeber! I say: 'everybody to their own and may our great hobby continue'.

Interesting point JEP. although i wouldnt quite say the bottom has dropped out. Maybe a trip to Spalding Sunday will reassure you of prices! I would personally put it down to poor marketing and arrangment of sale day on the auctioneers part. Quite a controversal view so look forward to hearing other views!

Did anyone go to this? just looked at the reports. Prices are extremely low!! Wish i had mad ethe 4 hour trip from wales now!

Having driven many miles on and off road in navaras and hi-luxn, thought id just give my two pence worth Navara are very comfortable, pull like a train and lots of gizmos to play with. 4 wheel drive is good but would say tyres are key. on the road they are a dream although parking and town driving is a problem due to size. the hi-luxs driven were superb, really great and and off road, although would say 3.0l engine better for trailer work. put the hi-lux in some pretty precarious places and it just pulled straight out, great four wheel drive system. only criticism is the interior is poor! No comfort at all and dash look like they are made of old shoes! All in all the hi-lux is a great and recommended buy, but would say to branch out and get the larger engine and enhanced extras pack. Good find Bill shame about some of the boxes :'( the estimates look a bit sketchy on some items so may be some bargains to be had. Afraid its bit too far from north wales for me to travel. Good luck. look forward to posts of yoour purchases

I generally try to stear clear of ebay (although do sumcome to buy sometimes). On the whole I think ebay is a good development, but.... a few points stand out: [list type=decimal] [*]the general toy fairs have suffered greatly, both in number of visitors and available 'quality' items. [*]People tend to have better knowledge of 'everything', making it very hard to find a real bargain. [*]The serious collector has no choice but to use ebay as the 'very rare' or 'unusual' items go straight to ebay and not traditional auctions. all in all for pricing models and seeing unusual items ebay is great, however the thrill of attending traditional auctions, with experienced and very knowledgable auctioneers and the excitment of scanning the toy fairs for that special model we've dreamed about is unparalelled.

Im currently writing up a project for college on the use of water in UK agriculture. Was just wondering what type people use for which crops, how cost effective each system is and how these vary in different regions. Any information would be greatly appreciated and photos would be even better. Many thanks in advance

Great models there. Particularly like the power harrow and bridged drill. Used similar combination on a farm I worked on, not the most accurate drill ever!

That does surprise me! I suppose its not something that comes into everyday conversation unless you know someone is a collector. In that case I'll make an effort to encourage new members.

Im turning my hand to a few conversions at the moment. Very green on the subject so advice would be very much appreciated. 1. How do i get the tracks off a britains jcb excavator (the old type). 2. How do i get the back wheels off britains tractors(ford5610, deutz and volvo)? many thanks in anticipation. Some pictures added, any ideas?

Ah yes I have that trailer 2 but the plough is slightly darker than that.

Can anyone give any info on this? date etc seems to be a lighter green than the others i have.

From experience 64's are a bit light for carting. the JD 69's are great, fast but have the weight to do many jobs, including loader work. Would echo the point about reliable dealer close by tho. If you have one go with them regardless of maker (exceptions do exist for some makes )
