Power lines weren't in good shape after rita................
......After we finally got CLECO to come and fix the poles
When that was all set we started to cut soybeans.
No i don't think this is numpty worthy YET. The levees are used to hold water in the different parts of the field. Rice has to grow in a flooded field. What we do is divide the field into curved cuts, each one lower than the first. This allows us to put the well caps at the top cut and let the water flow to the downward cuts to flood the field. and the levees hold the water in each cut. Also, to flood and entire field without levees would be too hard, considering you would have to keep the levels of water at the same height at all ends. so having the field divided by levees makes monitoring water levels easier too. Hope that explains it.
first we tear down the levees after harvest.
then we disk down the ruts with the [glow=red,2,300]9270[/glow] and [glow=red,2,300]stx 375hd[/glow] for those of you who can't recognise your steigers....cough(Cape Cod Farmer)......cough(smurf) ha ha!.
hey nathan, glad to see you here. thanx for the comment. yeah u can thank cape cod farmer, he introduced me to this site. every now and then i come here to post freely what i can't in the states ha ha! like you might notice, me and ccf are raggin on each other in one post ha ha!
the combine is spewing out the straw from the rice, the combine is also throwing dust, because it is racing up the levee road. and believe me, smoke will come out of a jd
Correct me if im wrong, but the 2377 series was made when the afx's were released as a smaller combine alternative to the afx 8010. As far as i know the 23 series is still being made with afx rotors and side screens with the 2377 as a new addition.
more pix hope u like
As u can see the mud on the tires, the cutting conditions were kinda swampy.
This is a 4640 sitting next to an 8820 combine. for some strange reason there is a yellow top on the soundguard.
