  1. We are finally getting some rain here.? Only got a little more than an inch the two months after Hurricane Rita.? Right before the rain we wanted to disk up the old soybean land and get some lime spread on it.? We lost the use of the large red disk temporarily but we still wanted the 9220 jd and the stx 375hd to both? run, so we found one of our old cih disks that we hadn't used in over 10 years.? The color shows its ages cause it is now orange instead of red.? We did some repairs and checked things out and let the two tractors go at it.? The 9270 is still in the shop, getting its winter maintanace done. It rained after we disked the fields, but about 3 days later it was dry enough to start spreading lime.? We called UAP, and they sent out their new 4920 dry box spreader.? They also sent a pull unit for us to pull to speed things up. After the lime was spread in some of the fields, we decided to pass our field cultivator over the field.
  2. One can only hope! I plan to paint the inside and posts red and the roof with be silver.
  3. Yes i used hot glue. One thing though, i hate that the glue makes a string when your finished. Didn't take all that long, just about 2 days and then i was taking my time. I need to finish the roof on the right side of it. I have paint ready for it, that'll be winter project for me though.

  22. This week we cut our other top-crop field. This field wasn't that dry. We left many ruts this time, thankfully no breakdowns. The yields are not as good as the original. The TJ was sent back to Whiteville for Sampson farm's needs. They sent their MX280. We got both of the waterlevelers out and started to lazer level the second field for this fall.
  23. These are pics from the top-crop Rice harvest from last week. The first top-crop field was relatively dry, because of the drought. Sampson Farms from Whiteville sent their 2388 rice special combine to help us since we helped them before Rita. They just bought a new JandM cart and sent their Tj 375 with it. They also sent their 8420 to pull our frontier cart. We put the 9270 on our JandM. For those of you who don't know, the first field that we cut, we reflood, then the tops grow back on the stalk. So we can harvest it. Taking the disk off of the 9270 The 2388 rice special. Starting the field.
