a DB would be a very good shout JDM , very reliable , & quite economic to run as well , fantastic tractors heavily engineared, & built to last , get something like a DB case 990, 995, 996 , you'll be well chuffed , certainly a tractor that holds it's own amongst the other makes
-
we seem to be in the same boat JDM , there's a lot out there for ?2000 but if it's not what you want , then it's worthless . The prices of 135's are ridiculous, in the current farm trader i can buy an MF 968T for ?3,950, an MF699 for ?2,400. 135's & 35x's are anything around the ?2,500 - ?4,500 it's crazy. i'm looking for a half decent 100 series tractor & i know i'll be paying ?3,000 - ?4,000 easily . There's a few good looking 500/600 series masseys about , but i dont want anything with a cab like that, if something goes wrong , i cant afford to have the cab split from the tractor & the fact that unless it comes from the east the cabs are more likely to have been subject to dung & more liable to need serious repair work doing to them . just a case of hurry up & wait mate

does that leak as well do you mean a drawbar kev ? one that needs a pin in the holes to pull a trailer / implement ? or a ninehole drawbar ? a bar that has holes in it & goes from one lift arm to the other ? (always called them a ninehole drawbar ,havent a clue how many holes they actually have though ?)

strange really as major still turns tankers out in green & yellow

hmm , this question has come up before , & there was no real answer to it , most of my pics come from farms i know , & they know me , if when i'm delivering i know the farm has somethinng worth taking a pic of i always ask, same as out in the field always good to let them know who you are & what the interest is. i was working on a farm where we hired a team of dung spreaders & there were a few people taking pics & waving & smiling , couple of hours later the police turned up after a complaint of excessive mud on the road, then saw the pics in the local paper a few weeks later if you get to talking to the drivers or farmers you could get more than just a pic , few years back i took some of a maize crew , within 10 minites , i was on a 12 mile round trip in a fendt926, then rode around in the harvester for an hour or so my advice is take yer pics , if in any doubt ask, could make all the difference of taking a long shot from the road , or taking a close up in the field , the more upfront you are the less suspicious they become , after all nobody likes to see someone lurking with a camera
-
also be a good idea to do the same to the 'spa ;)re' in the shed , that maybe the reason it's not on the tractor
-
yes , don't light a match :D :D

welcome tim , sit down & hold tight , & scream if you want to go faster :D you'll find plenty of scorces for you model purchases here , & if you cant find what you want then the scratchbuilders here may be able to help you out , some of their conversions , scratchbuilds are second to none

a lot of the detail has been removed because of the maket it's aimed at ,................... america. too many fiddly bit's & n bobs tend to fall off , & big big legal cases ensue , so thuis is probably why the pipes from tanker to injection were removed . the reason it has john deere on it is simple the deere name sells, unlike MF deere does see items like this as promotion, the more people are familliar with it , the more people will buy it , it really is that simple
