The teams have been busy .2nd cut clamp silage is done ,big bale and rbale is nearly done .another few days and the hay will be finished.we are also half way through the forage rye and the whole crop wheat is not far away from ready.hope to desiccate the osr nxt week and the winter barley is not far from being ready.a demo MF and a new direct drill.abbei on mower.big bale wrapping.servicing combine.

On way home.followed krone big X 770 and MF with krone four rotor rake on back.

Well the teams have been very busy lately.we started chopping grass over the Easter wkend and have also drilled a far bit of maize.we are well into the first cut silage to.we have also cut some early forage rye.A new claas jag 960 has taken over from our jag 940 as we have got another ad plant and two more large dairy/beef.new light for work shop and the shovels on the clamp

Well March has been a busy month for the team.we are up to date on ferti,did the T0 spray on the wheat in perfect conditions.we have been spreading muck,and carting digestate and seperated muck .repairing tracks and getting silage kit ready.

In the past couple of wks the team have drilled a 1000acres of Spring barley and fertilised all our combinable crops and the grassland too.we have also done a herbicide on the wheats and winter barley as well.a rotary ditcher has been bought for one of our hedgers to keep it working.and also we have fitted a snow plough to our gritter Lorry .

Well after a wet week end the guys have started ferti on the osr and getting the kit ready for cultivation and drilling of Spring barley.A dea livery of chemicals.sprayer off to do contract liquid ferti on osr.And gator of to do soil sampling .

Well the guys are having a bit of time off over Christmas,though a few are manning the Tmr feeder wagons,a bit of straw has gone out today to keep our livestock guys and girls stocked up with straw.the hedgers a back and a couple of new muck spreaders have arrived too.the team that run the winter service kit are not on standby for a couple of days.wishing everyone a happy Christmas and a happy new year from hawthorn farms.

Well we finished our maize silage in mid October,got a lot ploughed up for wheat and grass.we chopped around 4000 acres of maize this Autumn with our 3 claas foragers and a hired krone .our new jcb 419 loading shovels were excellent .at the moment we are hedge cutting ,winter ploughing ,and servicing kit,we have had the gritting crews out a few times so far this month.straw is also going out and we are now doing contract forage box feeding with three Keenan's for a number of dairy and beef units .a jcb fastrac and low loader with a jcb 416 and toe tip grain bucket have been moving around clearing out on floor grain stores too.
