  1. we got all 1100 acres finished on the 16th november. we are very glad that we got out temporary store empied before the bad weather hit or we would have lost about 500 tones of spuds. we dont have foreigners around the place but we have a secondary school that comes once a year on a business trip to see how the company is run
  2. that was part of my thinking and then mabee have the new holland 8560 that replicagri are bringing out soon as it can be my old muscle tractorthe 7610 can be the old yard tractor
  3. nice pictures there rich, how much snow have you had there, has it affected business much or improved it??
  4. no the pics are fine, its good to see how other people store the spuds. as you said storing in bulk can take its toll on the spuds but weve only noticed it in the maris piper spuds but most of our maris pipers are in box stores so it not too bad. we have thirteen 1000 tonne stores and three 1500 tonne stores with another 1500 tonne store being built next year. the box stores im not sure about but we have 2 box stores with about 250-300 boxes in each
  5. ill be getting that case anyway, weather it will end up on the farm im not sure yet, the ford is a nice tractor though and when ive got enough money ill be getting one

  7. little manor farm has decided to do some contracting to local farmers inc: fert spreading crop spraying silaging (mowing, rowing up, baling, clamping ect...) muck spreading slurry injecting round baling aswell also to come to the farm in the new year: 2 beef sheds, a lambing shed, indoor silage clamp machinery also to come: claas scorpian 6030 or JCB 310 new amazone sprayer joskin modulo 2 tanker and injector challenger LB44B big baler case 1056xl new holland 8560
  8. if you look at the first 2 pictures on page 4 you can see the modern vent systems and it sort of gives you an idea of the depth of the potatoes as they are behind the concrete wall in the second picture
  9. cheers, im taking my time with this layout, not rushing it as i want to get in as much detail as possible, it might make it to toytrac next year, depends how much time i get building it due to being so busy with work and college
  10. the ducts run through two stores width ways, there is a tunnel down the middle that supplies the two stores with air and gassing. the bulk stores are around 5 metres deep and the box stores are a maximum of 8 boxes high varieties are marris piper, king edward, lady rosetta

  13. well due to the weather and a quiet spell at work ive had a bit more time to myself so ive been busy on the new farm ive stripped down that cattle barn i had and done yorkshire boarding all the way around it and im redoing the roof with extra supports so it does not dip in again, its now going to become a small machinery shed with some lambing pens in there for a small sheep and arable farm im doing, i calnt wait really as its been over a year since i did a farm by myself pictures will follow soon

  15. there doing really well, had 2 new stores built this year and another planned for next year. bags of kit, mainly john deere kit but the bigger tractors are the case and ford. did you used to work for them then???
  16. we have spread all the poultry muck but i dont think i have talked about any fastracs, the contractor has one but never seen it
  17. well ive been really busy recently but had time to get a few pics from work today the ford 7810 has been working hard using the dolly to shift the walkers trailers and it made it all more fun in the snow and ice
  18. thanks, it was quite challenging as i was doing it on compacted snow so the manitou was sliding all over the place, im surprised they didnt call it off but it was fun
  19. ill be getting one of those ifor williams trailers but everything else is disapointing. the buildings are bog standard, they do need some more impliments though mabee a new yard scraper, post knocker, hay turner, small baler kit for the quad- slug pellet aplicator, trailed topper, quad sprayer
