i agree with you tris but what i meant was that it would take a 12m wide cultivator in the real world to test/challenege these machines to give you a reason to need or buy them, i have no need or reason to buy them as all they will do is gather dust on my shelf, i might get a case ih 450 and convert it into a 325 like we have at work but that will be it unfortunatly for me
-
not being rude but you dont need an arctic tractor to pull one of those at JRO we have a simba solo and double press and we can get that on a john deere 8330- 300hp these arctics are needing big 12m wide cultivators to be of any use. it would be nice if they did mabee 1 or 2 a year but when they go and release about 6-7 at once it gets tedious i would like some tractors that will be of use on my farm, fit on my farm and be able to fit my trailerrs/impliments to look realistic
-
im starting to get quite worried now that britains are going for large equipment for big farms, do they know its the uk and we do not have american sized model farms and we dont all have massive fields for all these artic tractors i know we have 2 at JRO but thats about it in shropshire where are the small hp tractors such as john deere 5R series massey 5445 tractors?? if they are going to carry on making large tractors then where are the large impliments for them?? and we need more impliments

not much rain last night and a lovely sunny morning. think it could be a good day but will be clouding over later we had plenty of snow yesterday aswell about 3cm in an hour when i got to work and then it cleared up in the rain

no we dont use mideema trailers but i think a miedema setup would look good, im going to use just john deere tractors for hauling id love to get a sponsor but not sure how to do it, and if it would be too much hassle
-
well it will be a while until i start the buildins but to keep costs down instead if the store loader bein a scratch buildits going to be a fyson conversion here is the model so far. ive only just started and so still a long way to but it seems to slowly be taking shape
-
i think i will have to, i will build it though so i can build the full sheds if i wanted to
-
id love to do it like that but i want it be a realistiic as possible so im going to do 2 full stores, i have just worked them out to cost around £80 to build so mandy will be glad to hear that i will be buying the materials later in in the year so i hope she has it all in stock. think i might have tosell a few of my more expensive models to cover the cost of the build as thats only the plastic and i will need to paint it , build small fans for in the roof, build conveyors and elavators and get at least 2 miedema 175 trailers so its not a cheap build at all but hopefully will look goot at the end of it
-
it is big, id love to do the full set but i would not have enough room to store the buildings. i will be basing machinery that is on the site, ive also got a few other little things im going to do but they are having to wait. i calnt give to much away but the building will be 100% made from plastruct for strength but for detail aswell. i hope you can make toytrac as its a great show and im sure there will be allot of displays there again
-
well as most of you know, im not going to be doing a full layout for toytrac but the scene i am doing is big enough to be a layout due to the size of the buildings i am bulding 2 modern potato stores that can hold up to 1000 tonnes each of which in 1/32 are nearly 1 metre long and 50cm wide i am only doing 2 as i have not got enough room to build the whole site from work ther ed area markes the area i will be building, there needs to be a big yard so i can get the grader in and multiple conveyer belts and tractor trailer combinations to join the grader i will be building a miedema: ML 1685 TELESCOPIC STORE LOADER TAT 1685 TELESCOPIC CONVEYOR HAT 1685 SINGLE CONVEYOR G600 ELAVATOR

just read over this topic and i like the idea of scenes i have a few in mind yard potato grading scene spraying/fert spreading power harrowing mowing silage i do have a big scene in mind which might be an idea but it will cost me allot to build

jordantaylor replied to MODELFARMER's topic in Other Conversions & Scratch Builds
yes built into the real thing there is a large weight but they are made for us to be able to take large parts off potato equipment into the field so if the equipment is to break we can save time by repairing in the field and get it going again as fast as we can -

there sure will we have 6 tractors at work with these on 4 john deere and 2 new hollands, they are really handy when working in the field with big kit as you dont have to get it back to the farm to repair it, it also acts as a front weight so really does 2 jobs -
