  1. this is a siku model ,i have painted the diesel tank and hydraulic rams black, removed the front hitch,i will be adding hydraulic pipes and lights.
  2. this is my sons latest buy that he purchased off his birthday money,he is eight today.the turning radius is pretty poor so that will be the first thing to be sorted,he wants lights added hydraulics added and some light weathering. it is pictured here with its proud new driver.
  3. this is based on a britains model,i have changed the rear actor to one which the rear boom extends, made a hammer for it added hydraulic pipes then added working spot lights to the rear of the cab and a working flashing beacon.the model was then weathered to look muddy, fuel spills added to the tank and the odd small hydraulic oil leak.
  4. i use really good quality pigments and paints, depends on what i am weathering and what texture or effect i want i will mix washes or filters etc.
  5. thanks for your comments,i have just recieved another jcb in the post which will be recieving the same treatment then up for sale.

  12. i think you should do a hedge row with a burn running beside it and some of that grass matting which comes in short medium and long and have your tractor half on the grass and half on the road.
  13. i am nearly finished building this truck but i cant decide what colour to do the cab.the chassis is metallic blue and the running gear is orange there is also black and white decals to go on but if they were going to clash with the colour i would just leave them off.so any ideas peeps.

  15. thanks for all your comments ,all i done for him was measure and mark it out then he done all the glueing and then let him loose with a spraycan of silver,he was so proud of himself it was really cool to see the satisfaction on his face well worth letting him loose on the workbench, which is the only way he is going to learn.

  20. hi mate,i dont think it was air under the paint it sounds like the paint has reacted with something on the bonnet, try sanding it down and spray it with primer first this should stop it reacting.dont worry mate we have all had paint react at some time you just need to start again which is a bit of a pain but you will be glad you done it in the end.
  21. ok i will start the ball rolling. this little guy was a brittish soldier with loose camo on his helmet holding a machine gun and his hand high in the air as if to be stoping traffic so i trimed his helmet cut off the barrel of his gun and put a small piece of tube on for a socket cut his arm off and stuck it back on further down and after a bit of paint he is now a mechanic holding an air impact gun.
