  2. thanks for the comments. finished the base today just need to do some detailing,added some tufts of grass to it,diesel tank is finished and was delivered today.
  3. ok work must commence big time on the farm as we have been slacking. started building a diesel tank which is almost finished. made and fitted a working level gauge on the tank and i am making breeze blocks which you can see in the pic to make a base for the tank to sit on. when its finished we will get it on a trailer and sent down to the farm.
  4. im looking for a good mini lathe,could anybody tell me whats good and what to stay away from?thanks in advance.
  5. been a while since ive posted on here,just been so busy,but due to an old back injury coming back with avengence ive had to stop work so have a bit more time on my hands.i recently took my son down to a local turf supplyer to show him some proper flotation tyres and as expected he wanted them on his tractors so heres the result.
  6. i do alot of metal fabrication and welding and no you will not be able to weld it.you would be better making a new bed for your trailer out of mild steel.
  7. i tryed telling her that but she doesnt believe me for some reason .i would of loved a farm like this when i was a lad so im just reliving my childhood and my son reeps the benefits.managed to secure a job on his farm ,the job description is jack of all trades and general dogs body .
  8. yes its wire mesh to make the hills then paper mashey over the mesh.not finished the hills yet,loads of work still to do.
  9. for the soil in the fields its used coffee grounds that have been dryed out.

  11. not had much time to do any work on the farm,got some hedges done and just getting the fencing built.i need to get the bridge finished and my son wants a john deere dealership built at the top of the bridge.
  12. yes i made them ihave more to make along with potato boxes pallets etc,etc
  13. my son has now out grown the living room so his farm is now in the attic,work ongoing.
  14. my son had a broken docklands type container fork lift so i made a linkage for it to fit on his tractors and added a hydraulic ram.
  15. yes they are welded,it is all mild steel apart from the ram which is alloy.
  16. these rollers are my first scratch build,just finished them,now going to paint them and add the hydraulic hoses.

  18. made these sheds for my son,he will be six in january so didnt go into much detail,also made him some pallets,potato boxes,bails,grain sylos.hopefully santa brings him some new machinery.
  19. thats a very difficult question as there was that much,my ford 6600 as i used to get taken round the local farm i helped out at in one.,or being all excited when they brought out the tw35,
  20. it was about twenty years ago when the collection went,i couldnt replace them all as it would cost me to much so new collection.

  22. hi from scotland,i got rid of my tractor collection years ago and regreted it,ive just started constructing farm buildings for my son,so thats a good enough excuse to start collecting again,
