  1. Thanks again Justin, just had a look at the website, the parts seem reasonable in price and it would be nice to get my old broken models back on display again, it was not long ago i was thinking about binning them!!.. :of

Well i spose your glad you hung on to them now! ;D If your going to rebuild em.  Post me some pics if you can! :D
  2. Fantastic rebuild there chap.. 8)

Looking at your TW restoration pictures has given me some ideas, i have a few wrecked! old Britains models, 2 Ford 5610s!! a Deutz DX110 and a Massey 3680. One of the Fords and the Deutz only requires a replacement cab and a bit of a tidy up. As for the other 2 they are in a bit more of a state but not half as bad as your model was before you restored it.

    Cheers for that..

No problem Steve. If you get on to Dave Towse at www.britainstoyfarm.co.uk. He has all the parts for those models. I would highly recommend you to check it out. He sells on eBAY also. But i just buy direct from his main web page. Plus his fast to post & his prices are good. That TW cost me around £28 to restore. Not bad when a boxed model is making over £100 these days.I also got the parts & decail for that Ford 8210 conversion. So if you wanted to be different with your 5610 you could. Like make it a 6610 or 7610 maybe. ;):D
  3. That Replicagri IH 845XL would look fine in the display cabinet longside the Britains 1056XL. I recon most of the models ill duy this year will be by Replicagri. I already have the NH M160.Must get the 1300DT ,880DT & this IH. Replicagri are also going to release a Fiatagri NH G240 i hear in a few months. :P That will be another must have. I wonder if they will also do the FORD NH 8970 vesion. If they do ,that will be better again! :)

  4. Lovely tractors there Justin, great work man-you should be proud of them, brilliant work, you should do more and sell them!!!

Thanks Padraig. Id love to do a bit more ,but time is a bit scarce lad. Looking at your setup ,i love the pics of your FORD 7710 conversion being filled longside the CASE silage harvester & the lads having their grub in front of the IH & trailer fulla turf at bog is class! Your diormas are by far the best ive ever seen! ;) Fairplay again. Keep it up.
  5. My brother dous build lorry's in scale 1:50.

He alway's go's to carboot sale's and so and he always brings back some Britains stuff and lory's off Liontoys and Teckno.

Most of the time he pay's about an euro or 2 for those stuff.

I feeling a bit ashamed because i dont have the time and when i have i dont feel like going :-[

But if you have the time it can be well worth the search some times!

Im the same. Between looking after my 9 month old baby girl & work ,i dont have time to scratch my backside. And id say when she gets quick on her feet im going to have to box those models & send em to the attic for a while!  :(
  6. Your more than a collector Padraig. YOUR AN ARTIST. ;) :)Do you display your fine art alot around shows in Cork & kerry? Cause ive never seen anything as good as this at any show & im only over the county bounds! The oldskool silage setup with those trailers is f***ING CLASS.  :P.Are you going to be at any modelshow localy in Munster cause i want to see this diorma for real? ;D

  7. Wel i alway's buy complete models and butcher them for the wheels or chasis or cab just what i need from the tractor.

The rest go's in a box whit spare parts and at the time i go to an modelshow i look in the box and sort out what i think that can be sold and take it whit me.

Some times i am working on a model and need a part i look in the boxes and most of the times i find what i need.

And if i look what a model costs and what some people ask for the tyers it is cheaper to tear a complete model down then buying just the wheels!

For example i pay 18 euro for the complete model and the for only the tyers the ask offen 12 or 13 euro!

Ive a box of old bits & pieces also. My father inlaw goes to carboot sales and he might come across the odd model tractor and buy it for me to see if i could do something with it. Its funny cause youd be surprised what he would bring back .  ;D Old 80's era Britains stuff sometimes. But you can always do something with a broken tractor :)
  8. The scale of the Corgi is about 1:36

Still today I don't know the value of the Ford-Set  ;D

I bought it some weeks ago... Ebay-Number 330573545880

I had seen a Britains Box set like yours for sale in a local modelshop at home in Cork ,Ireland. The only thing tough, is it had a Ford 6600 instead of the 5000 in the set. He was asking 230 Euros for it.
  9. Try Dave Towse at www.Britainstoyfarm.co.uk. I got all my Decals and parts for my FORD models from him. He also does obsolete Britains tractor parts. He is your best bet. I got an 8210 decal from him for a conversion 4 months ago and aload of parts for a Britains TW-25 i rebuilt last week. Very fast to post & good prices also.  ;):)

  10. it is may 2007 issui classic tractor the 5000 is in it i dont see my uncle lot so i dont know for sure if he has all those fords but iv herd some people say that he does and his sone had a 3000 that my granda gave him and i got a massey 35  ;) ;)

Thanks for that . Must check it out. A close friend of mine also had his MF collection featured in Classic Massey mag 2 months ago. Its under Mick Ford MF collection. He has one of the biggest Massey collections in Ireland. I drive some of his gear on Vintage roadruns. :)But i always opt for the only Ford he has most of the time. A Pre Force 2000.
