Well, after a long think, the choice has been made to sell up the contracting side of the business (pictures of the 'auction' soon). The models are to go into storage in a display case and the farm is also being sold (a deal is being considered). The Buildings are going to be taken down and new ones built to replace them. This new farm will be a display that could be taken to shows and suchlike which signals that the end is near for this topic.

Loks like it's a good investment. Youid that the back end felt a bit light and i was wondering. How much would one of those bales weigh?

Ordered some wood for a silage pit that is going to go in my 2011 diorama (more news on that soon).
It will be like this one i made a few years ago but only one pit and a bit shorter.

A friend today. We were in our lesson and he decided to do his sheep/goat noise. the look of concentration on his face made me laugh but when he was halfway through, our new head walked in. He is quite strict and everyone thought he was going to moan at the boy, but his face split into a grin and he said it was the best impersionation he had ever heard.

Got it ages ago but only been reading small parts at a time. Another good report on Toytrac and the John Deere artic was an interesting read, but the report on the fuel changes was probably the most important article.
-
Dont forget the Simba Solo
Good point but in my mind thats still not really big enough for their biggest tractors like the quadtrac 600. That needs the Siku Lemkin Gigant to test it
-
im starting to get quite worried now that britains are going for large equipment for big farms, do they know its the uk and we do not have american sized model farms and we dont all have massive fields for all these artic tractors
i know we have 2 at JRO but thats about it in shropshire
where are the small hp tractors such as john deere 5R series massey 5445 tractors??
if they are going to carry on making large tractors then where are the large impliments for them??
and we need more impliments
I could not agree with you more. The only cultivation implement they make is the fold up cultivator and that just wont work behind one of the big artics that are made for cultivating huge areas of land with massive machines.
-
Not really sire about the artics with duel wheels but on singles i think they look better. Im also hoping the JCB 310s comes with some decent attachments and a good way of attaching them. The old JCB telehandler and front loader method was rubbish. The method they use on the 416 is a lot better.

Recently (between 20th and 23rd december) a John Deere 6420s, number plate VU06 HPX, was stolen from North Wraxall near Chippenham. Anyone with any information that could lead to its recovery should ring 0845 456 7000.

As said in previous posts-Happy Birthday Mike and happy new year everyone.
As for what i have been doing: day one of our annual TB test today so very hectic morning but all calmed down now. suprised at the decision to test today and monday as monday is a bank holiday but its better than waiting until febuary (next avalible test time) and being shut down for a while.

turned on i think. a green light should be flashing if it is charging and will stay on when charged. when the battery is removed from the charger or is turned off a red light will appear.

I think it is because for the massey it says it includes the new hitch.
