Imagine setting off with that and 150 acres to cut.....
There's a few of those lying around farms up here, but most are well past their best.
-
I would like to come along, but so close to Spalding, TT has more or less said 'No'..... ;D

Big enough to cope with those rollers, Gav?

That 1200 looks superb, your mate must have spent a lot of time and effort to get it to that condition.
does he use that 1200 mate, or is it for shows, as shes in gret condidtion
He bought the 1200 in 2001 and it rolled out in 2007! Engine was good but he did full o'haul of drop box, gearbox and hydraulics. Cab completely relined and is like new. (Smells like it to!)
Smallest plough he has is 4f KV variwidth and it toils (with assister ram) to lift it, so it does odd jobs and shows - bit of a crowd puller in amongst the 35 and 3000s.
C'mon Jason

Some nice pictures there John. I'm going to have to be my usual critical self and say I don't particulary like the MF65 with those odd looking oversized wheels though ;D
I like originality but at the end of the day the tractor owner can do what he wants. Was there a specific reason for the larger front wheels and the front weights too
The 65 still does a lot of work on a topper every summer.....apparently it was modified like that many years ago.

I've never seen a two row - the problem may be not burying pots in the amount of soil moved.
I call them shaws too but figured no-one else would know what I was on about

I think the right hand rotor is to clear the haulms from the next drill while the LH one is the digger...

Some layouts look better in photos with clever camera work - not this one.
It looked superb at Spalding.

Lovely pictures there and an unusual arrangement of rollers.

Totally agree with you Sean - will be 3000's and 165's outliving T6040's and 7480's
Not sure about that - in 20 yrs time T6040s will be 'very old' technology and probably a seven year old with a bluetooth (or whatever comes next) phone will able to reprogram them ;D

Rolling, some sowing left to do, fertilizer spreading and cattle to sell and buy also some straw starting to move
Combine to bring home with my friend too ;D
Did I miss something Colm or is it the Deutz?
You may as well stay at home as roll ground too fast, sure you'd only be hitting the ground in spots!!! The roller needs to be given time to press down all the humps and stones. I tend to roll in 6th gear with the Ford 7600 or 6610 at about 1500 rpm, not sure what speed that is but not as fast as 10mph
I thought 8 -10 kph was considered 'optimum' for rolling
Just got the last spray on the OSR and ready for first fungicide on WB followed by growth regulator on WW.

Calm down Barry, it's only a Dexta
I got 4 kits at Spalding

Planting trees - they'll be nice in about 50 years.

Coming home to find water dripping through the kitchen ceiling

Mainly driving back up the A1 from Spalding

Good pics.
The muck midden looks like it's been there for a while

Thanks all.
Looking at the tyres she's done a bit of work too ;)
Yeah she earns her keep, Paul....those (Michelin) tyres only come new with half a tread on them, but they seen to last OK as she spends 90% of the time on the hard.
Nice looking JCB John. Looks like it gets washed and polished like farmer Ritchie's from North Berwick ;D
It does get the 'wash'n'wax' regularly.

Spread 110 ha fertiliser - great day weatherwise too.
who drove the combine??
in Tractors

I always drive the combine and TT tells me I am the boss too. I do enjoy leading grain though and sometimes end up doing both
Generally the drier stops/breaks down when I'm on the combine......
