Some lovely Fords there.
Be a shame to put that plough in the ground.
-
Most farms up here have their own teleporters with enough grunt to do the job with decent weight and less wear and tear than a tractor. Not many loading shovels round about.
-
That is stunning Marky, I've seen some of his stuff closeup and it is wonderful, but not the trailer.
I can vouch for the detail on that one though
Would be curious as to whether I could buy a real one for the same money ;D
-
Helluva sale by the looks of it!
Thanks Andy.

i did wonder that to john, thought they had to have roll bars at the minimun now adays??
I think it's the'falling objects' bit on handlers (FOPS) as much as ROPS.
-
That might not be exactly legal....
-
Thanks for taking the time and lettings us see what we missed
Great photos Marky.

Very impressive - you deserve all the compliments given.
-
Very tidy. You shouldn't park it on the runway though.
-
Sort of working 'daylight hours' now. The pressure is off now that everything is drilled, just spraying and fertiliser to finish on the crops, then it's stock and repairs, fencing, building maintenance etc....

Really looks the business - excellent.
-
Looking very good Jason - the cab will be the trickiest bit I reckon.
-
Very smart - should shift a few of those!
-
That's very well done - you should be pleased with it.

That looks very smart.
P.s Do marshall sell red and green spray paint because i am going to do a marshall silage trailer.
I'm trying to get some as touch up from the dealer at the moment....
That looks the business John, Are you pleased with it??
Hasn't done much yet Jason, but no complaints yet.
That looks a well built trailer John the only thing that I can see wrong with it is the position of the lights, but thats only from a beet carting point of view, they'd get forcibly removed when the first load was tipped
Don't do dirty jobs like beet here There are no horizontal surfaces to hold grain after tipping like the AS so nothing to brush down.
Looks a well made trailer especially the chassis and door, simple and effective construction. Whats the paint job like on it, I hear they've been having problems?
It's nearly a tonne heavier than an equivalent AS and its mainly in the sheet metal and chassis. The paint has probably been Marshalls weakness but this 'seems' OK. I'll probably 'Waxoyl' all the box section etc I can get at.

Not convinced about the front of that bonnet.
-
Thanks for the comments, everyone.. It was a lot more work than I anticipated - I reckon I could've done three 35s in the same time - just so many bits to remove and paint separately. Getting the windscreen out (and in again) was the worst!
Wow you did a great job on it paint looks good
Them tires set her off pretty good
nice aggressive tread what brand are they?
The tyres are Pirelli TM 800s. 540/65 R34 about the biggest I could get on those rims.

Hauling and drying beans....would've preferred to have been at TT.
Probably why it's quiet here

Not a huge amount to be honest, it should've been traded in 3 years ago, but I decided it was worth more to me, so I kept her.
She does a bit fertiliser or thistle spraying, topping, and trailer work but shes not 40k.

I started tidying this up at the turn of the year and got finished just as harvest started - she should be good for another 6500 hrs!
Didn't touch the engine, but did the handbrake, trailer brakes, etc and put some wider tyres on as well which saves putting duals on now. She did all the rolling and some trailer work.

Just found this thread.

That's a very well made linkage. Once it's painted it will look even better.
