Network Rail, National Express or whatever....2 happy hours in Doncaster station as train was cancelled, delayed, lost, found, cancelled, 30 mins late, 2 hrs late.
-
Very efficient Marky. Is that the best MF collection in the UK then?
-
Same here, frost last night - rain today.
-
Updated (it's raining!)
-
Really interesting thread guys - I don't collect them but I'm enjoying the pics.
-
Looking really well Sean, like the drum weight...although you'd think if you could afford a 31, you could afford a set of weights too... ;D
-
So John will you be taking her to your local rally this year?
I don't know Bill, the newest machine last year was my mates MF1200! I may haul the 35 along on the low loader and 'park' the 65 close by. :D

You're more than welcome - as you are the 'Massey Massive' who am I to argue anyway.
If you'd like the full res. pics give me a shout.
Thanks for the compliments but it's just a bit paint'n'stuff.
-
Now that looks like a very useful outfit.
-
Sorry folks - didn't know you were all talking behind my back
It's totally finished now - just had one or electronic probs when connecting up again - the 'computer' box under the rhs floor. All the +ve wires were corroded and as I removed everything to paint inside, they broke, but stayed in the connectors. tricky to find.
Not a great one for naming things myself but I'm sure that won't stop you lot. :D
She did a bit of work this autumn and all the rolling.
Here's a few more pics

Started trying to make a new cabinet for the 'overflow' models - might post pics if it doesn't collapse.
-
That's a very nice, well thought out convo Blake.
-
Well done Simon...the full tank of diesel is around your ?100.
-
Gales yesterday, persisted down all day today, now a frost forecast for tonight..........
-
Lovely models - they always have a nice touch with the Jack Russel on the seat or whatever.
-
The JD certainly looks better than the pylon.
Generally you can mark poles and pylons on a gps map....
-
Wonderful model.....making a better job ploughing than me
-
If it's only got 1400 hrs that's a real find....last you forever.
-
Sorry I meant the compressor.
ooops! Something similar to this - runs one airbrush no problem.
-
Ah right I see, might go to the reclamers and ask. So is that a 1.5hp sort of thing? \
Not that big - sort of Pub sized
-
Rock'n'roll Marcus - waaay more fun ;D ;D
You got the loader?

Originally I used the farm air supply but it was too cold during winter. So I bought a cheepie compressor from ebay and 2 years and 100s of hours later it's fine. I paint everything with an airbrush now and only use a paintbrush for detail....
Fan is a 2nd hand 9" Xpelair which just vents into the adjacent farm building.

As above, but if you are just going to spray models and not do fancy graphics on cars, I find a ?80 compressor/tank/regulator/drier is fine and a ?30 airbrush. Paint consumption is about 4ml/coat on a tractor but about 50ml thinners to clean after. Keeping the gear clean is essential.
I built a wee spray booth in the workshop with an extractor fan above and it works well - as with any paint, you need warmth to get a good job.
Finish using an airbrush is far superior to a can as thinner coats can be applied which retains the detail - also you can buy 1 lt original manufacturers paint for the same price as a touch up can, so it will probably last you for life. HTH
