  1. Hi Mark,

I'm interested in the Replicagri Renault, let me know if it's still available.

    Thanks

    Richard

  2. Well yesterday was a first for me! I have baled grass in all weathers over the years, at least thats what I thought. At the end of last year there was still about 60 acres of contracted conservation cut and clear work left to do when the ground conditions got too wet to travel on. The last trailer that we got out of a site was pushed from behind with 2 other tractors and a round bale int the grab! then we had to sort out the mess. So with the ground just about dry enough and the need for 30 acres to be done by the end of march we thought we'd push on and get it done. Mowing and raking was ok but then it started to snow! First time ever that I have bales grass and snow!
  3. What a very interesting thought provoking piece of writing. I have to agree that it would be great to see a colour range of valmets again from Britains. I know that UH have done so recently but I decided not to purchase them as they didn't have the relevence or connection to the Britains models. Just out of interest I believe that 500 of each colour 805's were made originally. How many boxed sets of all 5 colours do we think are in existence now? I am lucky enough to have bought a set a couple of years ago.
  4. As can be seen from the first photo my mate who was with anothe tractor and mower found it very amusing! Neither of us had a chain so after a short walk of shame another tractor with chain was found.
  5. Here is my little bit of bad luck this summer. No one told me that the overgrown gateway was infact a rather narrow bridge! Was too close to one side and as the back wheel went over the edge of the bridge gave way. Luckily the mower resting on the ground and leaning against the tree stoped the tractor going any further. Couldn't get myself out as the mower was wedged on the ground and when i tried lifting it the back wheel came up further. Another tractor and chain soon had me out backwards with no damage caused thankfully I've sent the pics to Classic Tractor, wonder if it will make it into the back pages?
  6. Great set of photos and info about each, thanks David. Have enjoyed looking at them as I could not make it this time, hope to be there in the spring. The only good thing about not going is that I still have a healthy bank balance! Richard

    fencing

About 3 paces between posts for stock fencing or strands of wire is about right.
  8. 1/32 DBP County 1174 GOLD Tractor just made over £900. Most I've seen one go for- someone must have wanted it badly! Nice model though as always from Dave!
  9. That does look like a nice piece of kit both in model form and in 1/1. Another fantastic build but what happened to the bat wing topper you started? Did you finish it and I missed the pictures if so could you repost them. If it didn't get finished why not?!
  10. Yes it does look good, and I'm tempted but think with the price I might have to leave it this time.... If it had been made with the UK cab I would have happily got my wallet out straight away. Maybe in time he will make a UK spec DB in 1/32 scale.
  11. Now if this had a cab fitted and not just the shade I would be getting one for sure.
  12. Think he means he has several pictures/ photos of one of these tractors as in a 996?
  13. Might have to do the same! Though I think I might make a more conservative estimate.
  14. UH Fendt petrol blue http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260835664287?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 A little suprised at the end price for this, didn't think these were that sought after.
  15. Nothing new with the MF 240 and UH! DBP has been making one of these for a while! So many masseys to choose from but lets choose one thats already being made by a small uk model maker (and a very good one at that) I personally think UH models are great and have lots of them in my collection, BUT is an independant model maker like Dave really a threat to UH? I think not SO LEAVE THEM ALONE and get on with coming up with some original ideas and make good models of them!
  16. Can anyone help me with some details about the real tractor please. I have built up a catalogue of all my models. There is a page for each one with a photo of the model and a photo of the real tractor and details about each. So far out of all 250 models this is the only tractor I can not find much info about. Details that I would like are... Engine make Number of cylinders Number of forward and reverse gears weight Lift capacity Length Height Turning circle Thanks in advance Cab noise level
  17. That looks really smart Pete! I have nearly finished making one myself from a Manus kit. I just need to do indicators, windows and wipers. I will post some pictures when she is finished. One question for you, how did you do the cab glazing, what did you use to fix them with.
  18. Cheap example of this tractor if its genuine what do people think? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-32-Fiat-hesston-580-DT-Toy-Tractor-/250782070741?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item3a63c6b7d5
  19. Am I missing something?..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRITAINS-9515-VOLVO-BM-VALMET-TRACTOR-V-RARE-/170604085304?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&hash=item27b8cbc038
  20. Great conversion! You've managed to make it as ugly looking as the real life version. I think all the high horsepower 2wd tractors just look wrong though! I guess it is just what we get used to seeing here in the UK. Still a great job though! :D
  21. So from what you have both said am I right in thinking that this example of the 8830 has the wrong colour grill decal for this type of box?
  22. Thank you both for that information. That has made the situation a little clearer.
  23. What are the differences between this model and the TW35 version. Is it just a decal change? Are there any difference in the boxes? Is it as hard to know if a boxed 8830 tractor is genuine as the Massey Ferguson 590?
