Same seller, same item, different way of selling. Genuine item or not? ???
  2. The shaft is / was just glued on to the spreader. Mine came easily off when i tried to attach it to a tractor for the first time. I have since drilled a hole in the spreader so that the shaft pushes in, a much more secure fit.
  3. Looks like you've done a good job of that tractor. It may not be 100% accurate but nor is my version or anyone elses at the moment. It is so much better than the Britains attempt and looks superb. :)
  4. Bought these three today, and planed on the Leyland and the County but saw the JD 3650 made by miniagripassion and could not resist! Had a very enjoyable day and was good to meet a few more people from here.
  5. They are looking good but what i really want to know is which model tractor with a cab you will be doing soon?

    Claas CEBIS

Have just spent about 20 minutes looking at the internet but cant find what I want to know. Hope someone here can enlighten me. I know that it is the top of the range electronic control system but what does CEBIS stand for and what are its main functions?
  9. Toptractor has the uh box version of the class and the plough in stock.
  10. What lovely photos, your dad looks very happy in is work too! I've got a friend who has been driving plant for a good 55 years and has always had a camera with him. I really enjoy having a coffee with him showing me all the old pics and the stories that go with them. How times have changed! Please post some more photos :)
  11. The Cabinets haved come from different places over the years. From the 3 matching tall cabinets two were bought about 8 years ago for £350. I then found another matching one on ebay a couple of years ago for a bargin £50. The smaller cabinet that is sitting on the chest I made. The larger floor standing cabinet was purchased last year from ebay for £180. When I have filled the top of this cabinet I will Replace the bottom doors with glass ones. It took so lonk to buy this house due to being messed around by the vendors! At least we got there in the end! I am happy to have them all out on display at last.
  12. Have only just finished putting them out so still want to move a few around.
  13. Time for an update seeing as the collection of tractors has grown to just over 200 and the have moved house! We bought a new house in september although we put an offer on it in January! Since we moved in I've been busy decorating and changing a few things around but have eventually got to a stage where I have been able to move and display all of my tractors. The best thing is I now have space for plenty more tractors Here are some pictures....

Have not stopped laughing yet!
  15. Right thats made it all a bit clearer! Many thanks for the info.
  16. Ok thanks for that but I'm still slightly confused! Also I forgot to mention that the 5000 that I've just got is the version with the Fieca cab. Looking in David Pullen's book he suggests that there are two versions of the Fieca cab Ford 5000. 1973-1975 with exhaust close to the cab and a paper decal on the grill. 1975 exhaust moved to front of bonnet and it had a 6600 style grill although the 6600 tractor seemed to be released a year later in 1976. Both these versions are said to have steer o matic steering. As far as I can tell the one I have does not. How exactly did this system work? Is it obvious or am I missing something? Any more ideas?
  17. I'm after a little clarification on the early version of the 5000 tractor. I have just got an un boxed ford 5000 in very good condition. It is the early version as it has the exhaust near to the cab. I thought all of the 5000 were the steer o matic type. However on my tractor the steering only seems to work from the steering wheel. As I have not ever held a steer o matic 5000 I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. Any ideas greatfully received. Thanks Richard
  18. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330290878382&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=014 Maybe I should order a few from Brian or perhaps Brian should advertise more!!
  19. This looks interesting! I can think of lots of uses for something like this esp utility companies etc. Would make a nice model! http://www.esaccess.co.uk/4x4_tracked_access_platforms/4x4_tracked_access_platforms.php?id=tkjd6420
  20. Could someone take a ruler to their Claas Tucano combine please. Could I have.... length with header in working position Height from floor to grain tank top not unloading auger Cm please! Thanks
  21. Thought I'd try it out as a mowing tractor, looks good I think.
  22. Here is something to make massey lovers drool! A Massey dealer just happened to have one of these in stock, the only one he had otherwise I might have bought a few.
  23. Have just opened my copy of Classic Tractor and was very suprised to see the 'Alien Themed' Ford TW 30 on page 13. At the start of this month we went camping in the peak district and at the end of a walk we did I spotted a strange colour tractor over a fence so I had to investigate by climbing a little way up a tree armed with my camera, see attached picture. I have been meaning to send the image to Rory at CT and asking him to publish it to find out more as it seemed very different. Now I know! Thanks Rory and I look forward to any future articles about the tractor.
