I've been up at the show in Blackburn this weekend and yes, taking more pictures. I'll attempt to get TT images up today though. Paul, you do know that next year I've already assigned you the FTF resident clicker role. Get that camera charged!

Car is packed so we'll be there tomorrow. Hopefully next to Steven downes. Looking forward to it.

As soon as I'm able to, I wll post it up here. Unless it is leaked from elsewhere sooner of course! I only had the list yesterday and they were sensitive about even the mag having it, even though it's not in the shops until November.
I believe it is to do with the company in general and their approach to new toys coming. They have an official preview at the start of November where everyone finds out everything, at the same time. I would doubt its that relevant to Farm items but for other Tomy toys, if x retailer got wind of something due in january and beat y retailer to it, in terms of the first order, it could present stock issues and generate all sorts of 'hooo haaa'.

Very nice Martyn. Do you get chance to have a drive now and again?
-
There are plenty of images which will be uploaded once we get our next issue off to the printers. It's priority at the moment as time is quite tight! All of the pictures on my camera need to be resized down and it takes bloomin ages unfortunately.

Well the car is packed and will be leaving shortly. Steady trip down, a mammoth fry up at the usual stop then we'll probably lend a hand to Warner, Karen and Steve putting the tables out!

Good to speak to several members once again.
The show seemed quieter but plenty of new faces were seen and in general I think traders were happy. We were busy until mid afternoon where it then usually tails off.
Good to see some different kinds of exhibitors at the show including a few display themed ones.
Start of a cracking few weeks with shows coming thick and fast.
The day didn't start well though with the FTF server going down and having to fix it just as the show opened!

I know they're being more tight lipped than usual. I only know of the FTF tractors. Of course, there are rumours floating about.
It's like the football transfer window on twitter. A couple of proposed scenarios are.... My mate's mum's dad's sister apparently saw Britains coming out of the Redrock facility last week
Or Jim down the road who owns a Fordson and is friends with Derek from the post office who owns a Massey Harris who told him his mate Fred who he was at last weeks rally with over heard the ice cream man telling a customer that he heard from an owner of a 7840 that Britains are going to be releasing the 40 series, starting with the 7840, because they came and measured his.
In all seriousness. They did say they would be making up for the lack of fresh items this Autumn / Winter next year though. Got to be good news.

There's plenty of announcements due soon on 2013 including FTF's next model.
They are keeping much of it very tightly sealed but should be some news within a few weeks.

I agree completely with Howard S. Why on earth have Marge Models, a company who I greatly respect as model makers, based their model on a non-original version of the County 1884? I'm sorry but I don't buy into the theory that their initial release is a tribute to the owner of the real tractor. If that was the case, they would have added the non-original weight rack on the front, the Dutch registration plate and the twin flashing beacons on the cab for starters.
Plus, given the cost of such a venture, why would you risk releasing a non-original version of the model just to appease the owner?
No, I'm sorry, but I think it's a shame if this is going to be the final version. The main bonnet decals just don't look right.
RD
Rory, you're right. I didn't study the picture enough to notice they have missed off lots of other details if it were a tribute to the owners customised machine. Let's see what Marianne says about it.
-
I guess Marge could be honouring the real tractor first as a tribute to the owner. They then have possibilities of producing a few different versions of the machine with correct more authentic clothes on.
