  1. Yes i glued them all together first using wood glue and sprayed them red after..i made up a board for keeping them in the right place while i glued them together and that way each bay of shed is the same..photo of board i made up for the job hope this might help..
  2. thanks..I hope he'll be back to work soon. . . then again . . .the boys said they asked him to get the welder from the van for them and we all know now what he came back with . . . . . . . . .

  4. Got to farm this morning and bob was still there with his chainsaw..he said he only walked over to look at the farmers bulls and FORGOT that his chainsaw was still turned on and clipped one of the bulls ears..blood everywhere but at least twas only the bulls blood.. The boys moved quick and escorted him out of shed and off the farm..john just happened to be on the phone and rang the police but they said they wouldn't be on til after their lunch. . all that was wrong with the farmer was who would pay for the vet this time. . .(no animals or humans were harmed in the making of this scene)
  5. I had few more hours free so got 2 more barriers made up today so only 2 left to do... Don't know what this guy going to do with that chainsaw???do you??

  7. thanks barriers are slow to do but getting there..must make up a calving jack for the farmer for the calving cow scene
  8. Been abit busy over the last few weeks but got the first barrier for cows painted today..at the way the weather is looking the cows will be in the shed for 10 months of the year so hired in few boys to help But one of the boys is always on the phone
  9. Made a start on the feeding barriers for the cows,have 5 bays to do and got 1st one soldered up over the last few days

Got the straw put into calving bay and straight away i had a sick calf to put in so got a few pallets from around the farm and a oil drum to corner in the calf The farmer went off and got the heat lamp so he hopes he won't have to bring the vet The farmer was just finished with the calf when he spotted another cow calving so into the bay for her too [url=http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/modelfarmer2010/media/DSCF6530_zps43f8fe18.jpg.html][img=http://i128
  11. Onto next part of the shed now..i've left 1 bay of the shed free for cows calving..made up 2 gates and put on mesh wire on bottom of gate to keep the young calves in. . .
  12. Thanks..i used a sample brown paint pot and used a 1inch brush
  13. Got the water pipes connected with a couple T fittings and moved the cattle into it to see what it looks like...
  14. thanks...i'm trying to make as much as i can from timber and copper wire etc..ere weathering the cattle now and i'll have photo of them in shed tommorrow...
  15. Got the next 3 water drinkers in place today And on he comes to have a look at them...
  16. Made a start on putting in the water drinkers into shed..made them up from few bits i had lying around..i connected up the water pipe and put the pipe into a galvanised steel pipe up along the wall so the cattle won't damage it...
  17. Got the barrier in place. . The farmer can't wait to fill the shed..
  18. Got the slats put in over wkend and weathered them up..slats made from strips of timber.. The farmer turned up with his stick
  19. Taking a break from the cublicles for now and making a start on the pins for the beef cattle..first job is making up a gate to divide the pins..got some wire and soldered it..all i have to do now is clean up the solder and paint it.. And look who's on straight away to check if the gate fits
  20. Got the first row of single cublics in over wkend..slow going putting them all in place..works out i can fit 26 cows down along that wall The farmer is keeping close eye on the job always watching from behind some pillar
