  1. Waiting on red paint for the steel in the shed so made a start on the milk tank ..got a pipe and glued on a end to it..soldered few pieces of copper and made up the steps for it...few more days to finish it tho photo's not the best http:// http:// http://
  2. That's true alright ol...there is plenty more paper work for the insurance company to be done after this week again. . . will there be any end to it while bob is around? ?
  3. Might as well make the tank as big as I can so, maybe the farm will be milking over 200 cows in a year so might aswell have plenty of room..have to get a piece of pipe now to make the tank

Farmer woke up this morning and when straight out to check the damage done after the storm last night...And there was some damage done to the new shed..the boys putting up the shed hadn't enough supports on it to keep it steady http:// But then the farmer spotted the 820 in the middle of the shed and BOB jumping off it...was it the storm that knocked the steel or was it STORM FORCE BOB that did the damage....... http://
  5. Here now planning out the rest of the shed,calf pins,milking area,collection yard and milk tank..what size milk tank should I be putting in for this size of farm??? milking between 120 - 150 cows this year

  7. I think I better stop at 11 bays for now the shed alone is taking up 6ft but the room I'm in is 18ft x 18ft so we'll see...

Thanks mark..The timber I buy is called 2x1 or 50mm x 16mm x 8ft long...I cut in into strips of 16mm x 8mm for the beams which I know is not to scale but looks the part..i end up with 4 lengths 16mm x 8mm... so in total I have 32ft of beams for €2.50..i use a 12mm flat router bit to make the design...And all it takes is time

Well james i have plenty room to go all around the layout but was finding it hard to reach into middle of layout and shed to i made a access panel in the middle of the farmyard..i cut one of the panels and put hinges on it to open it..my layout is up 30 inchs or so off the ground so i just pop up through the access panel to do anything..i fixed on few tractors etc onto panel with cable ties to they stay in place every time i use it.. Got some more timbers cut today to make up next part of the shed http:// Then i ran them through the router to get to make the shape for the beams http:// I didn't take any photo's of how i glued them all together for the first 5 bays so here's a photo of how i'm gluing the next 6 bays..i cut all the pieces at the same time so off to glue them together one at a time..this might help somebody http://

Well its nearly time to eat the turkey now and the farmer is not lookin forward to it..he send bob out during the week to kill the turkey what the farmer didn't know was bob took the shotgun to do the job so he'll spend the rest of the day chewing pellets from the shotgun....Happy xmas everybody and all the best for next year...thanks for all the likes,views and comments since march on this topic..must head off now and open my 2 john deeres

The local Leyl dealer was passing by today and called into see the farmer about putting in the Astronaut in the new shed..He had one of those mobile barn cleaners with him . . . http:// All the boys gathered around to look ay the new machine called the Discovery while the only thing the farmer wanted to look at was the nice new jeep...if he could only get that for a few weeks too http:// Well its in the shed for the next few weeks til the dealer will be back again http://
