  1. have only just seen the pics?????? weird wernt there when i posted just now oh well

nice gav, bit big for my farming needs, but a must have bit of kit for these biggger carpet farmers/contractors,

Strange, must be your computer then ???

Thanks Sean, thought I'd give a big one a try just to see what they'd look like. Just need a large classic to try them out on now :)

  2. The hydraulic folding 6 metre version looks very tidy, do your crumbler rollers rotate too ?? A tip for you with the super glue here. Have you tried Loctites new "Gel Control" super glue. It's thicker and doesn't run like the thin watery normal super glue. Easier to use and less stuck on your fingers too   ;D  Worth a try if you have not tried it yet

Thanks and yes, the rollers rotate. I don't use super glue too much anymore as it tends to fail after a while and things fall apart as a few of my seeder conversion customers are aware so i tend to use Araldite for most glueing along with Plastic weld/Liquid Poly, super glue only for wires and pipes now. Thanks for the tip though :)

looks good!, whats the red/black thing in left hand corner :-\ :-\

yeah i've tried it, love the stuff!! ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Ben. Its a tank elevator off a Tim beet harvester ;)

  3. yeah i'll have that as well on mine!!.....get casting! ;D ;D ;D

The handwash tank isn't cast, just plastruct tube turned in a drill ;D The induction hopper is an experiment in casting something else that didn't look right but suits this perfectly :)

  4. Some great pics there again Marcus... that little 342 is going to be ruined on that scraper  :'( :'( :'( - can we steal it and let me "love it"

As for the Massey Telehandler.... who made them  ???

They were made by FDI? Sambron, used to be a 13m one in the original orange/grey livery on a farm locally ;)

  5. Same here Gav - nothing for around 6 weeks now....grass is holding up so far but I can see a lot of silage being grazed... :(

We have 2 bits of forward grass, both have to be off by mid may for hemp to be planted. We also have spring rape seed in the ground which could be a write off if it doesn't rain soon, barley is coming into ear at barely 15 inches tall so straw is not looking good either at the minute :-\

  6. So you're going to be doing a little grass then.......... :D :D

Yeah just the odd few thousand bales here and there ::):D :D Little grass being appropriate words at the minute though because if we don't soon get some rain there won't be much to cut :-\

  7. Now that my little teaser is done with, I'll post the pics from today ::);D Been washing down and going over the grass kit ready for this season. First up is the Lely Splendimo 2.8m mower conditioner :)

  8. Nice model Gav. The leveller looks the business with the spikes going down through the bars to help break up the soil as it works and the crumbler roller to break down large clods that are left. Real good replica of this implement.   8)

Thanks, my fingers still have glue on them from sticking all of those spikes into the frame, very fiddly with big fingers :-\ :D

  9. So have Siku dropped a clanger then Gav, never seen this one in Claas colours before  ???

You won't in this country, well that age anyway as they were for the German market I believe, Sanderson wouldn't let them sell them over here as it would be competition for them ;)

Now that bring back memories Gavvers... we used to be agents for Sanderson... we sold a few like that...

One of my jobs as the apprentice was to restore old SB55TC's to their former glory... what a crap job that was as well  :D :D :D

It's all memories for me as well as Dad sold these between 1987 and 1997 :)

  10. Cheers guys

    Is this the real machine?

No it isn't those ones, they are a version of the later Sanderson TL6 and TL7 machines, the 911T is based on an earler Teleporter 2, have a leaflet on the Sanderson version somewhere ;):)

  11. Thanks for the info - very interesting. Helluva drill  :D

Somebody will correct me, but I think atrazine is now banned over here  :(

It certainly is John, something to do with too higher residue of it left in the soil i beleive :-\ Another good. effective chemical banned >:(
