certainly looks rough, had they been using the intake elevator as a bulldozer? not seen one that battered before At least scrap metal prices are reasonable at the minute :D

There are a few people around this area who used to run or still do run flat 10 bale sledges/grabs. A lot of people now around here have gone over to mini hesstons or round now due to the easier handling compared to conventional bales

Hubba Hubba! come to Pappa! I just love those early Nuffields, i used to own 2 of them up till 2 years ago, a 1963 4/60 Diesel and a 1948 M3 3 wheeled TVO model that had been fully restored. Will post up some pics in a couple of weeks time if anyones interested. (after i've waded through the 40 or so pages you lot will have left for me to read )

At least it wouldn't need a lot of effort to part the beading from the rim, thats the only good thing when they get to that point :D

thanks guys, is the john deere stuff a different colour or how will i know if its different to the ordinary blue coolant?
The John Deere stuff is almost a luminous yellow/green colour compared to the blue that the ordinary stuff is. The Renault Ares tractors use the same so their dealers also keep it in stock as rule, i don't know if you can get it from other dealers besides them or JD. I can find out the difference in make up at work tomorrow if you want as we keep both types in the workshop

Great pic's Luke, lots of good kit there

any ideas on price yet, may well be interested in one

Yeah, worth a try, did have a sit in a real one and a guided tour of it at their open day last year, had to wipe the drool off the steering wheel afterwards though :D

Got the Claas dealer coming out to the farm next week, might have to have a word.........
-
why if you drop something on your foot does it always miss the steel toe cap and land higher up
-
better still, hours of endless fun and at a reasonable price too. Don't think the Claas price of 59.90 euros is too bad
-
Planning on hooking it up to the lawn mower or a cultivator for weeding are you

I was just looking through the Claas shop and found this on there, due in April. Roll on April is all i can say!

looks like some sort of tractor pulling meet if i were to guess, going by the sizes of the tractors, exhausts and dual wheels. Is it my imagination or has the front axle been moved forwards on the TW as well
-
well done smish , good looking tractor that, very comfortable to spent a working day in , is it a 30,40 or 50 k box ?
be wary of & check the lift arms thoroughly if they're all cast as some had a tendency to snap usually the nearside for some reason ,i had this happen to me with 3650 & a 4055 both the same side & both when it was with a 4mtr combi drill \
other than that it's a good drive you'll enjoy it
remember to use the proper ccolant ,it may cost a bit more but it's worth it
Thats a definate, never put anti-freeze in a tractor thats had JD cool guard in it or vice-versa as the two do not mix at all and may ruin the cooling system, has been known to destroy rubber parts within

My Land Rover sump leaking oil out after i just got back from the garage, it was supposed to have been sorted AGAIN >

Nice pics Gav......That is some beast...... :)
Does the artic have a problem or is it just because the tracked John Deere is in on demo?
You should have heard it growling with that subsoiler on! Think it's just because this is on demo, the blokes have been too far away to chat to on the cb, just been getting the odd bit of their chatter, heard something about a breakdown, think they were talking about a stone picker though

MF-fan My boss only put in about 10ha of summer carrot and we sheared the driving. The winter carrots will make up the rest of his carrot area but they are not coming out untill september.
mjb-The bosses in the farming company realy want to start a one driver one tractor policy but there are simply not enough drivers to go round.A local contractor that dose the spraying has an advert in this weeks farmers weekly in England hoping to get a sprayer driver to move here and spray for him.
(molly ag spraying)
I've seen that advert in there for the past couple of weeks, just a pity i'm not a trained spray operator :D

i think the manufacturers should use students to test new machines as if they survive them driving/operating them they would be damned near indestructable
