maybe but might also be to do with root crops
\
Definately to do with root crops, thats a cleaning turbine like you get on sugar beet harvesters and the like
-
Nope just in a good mood, i just know how annoying i can get as sometimes i sound like i know alot wereas really i know jack sh!t
:D
2 admissions in a day, you must be ill
:D
:D
-
what in how annoying i was
:D
or you mean something else
You feeling ok Phill, thats twice in one day you've admitted that you're annoying
:D
-
Exactly, it wouldn't of been too bad as I know all the silage chaps, but still when your trying to get on fixing something the last thing I would want is someone talking to me or taking pics
\
\
\
No not fair even if they're friends is it, they want to get on and feel obliged to talk to you. I only do it if its one man and he looks in need of a hand-my Landies a mobile workshop
:D
I'm one of those pains in the asss always taking photo's
:D
never when broken down though as i know they just would want to get on with and not have someone annoying watching them
:D
Blimey so you finally admit that you're annoying then! Lads its a first!
:D

I'm a busy chap
:
Nah don't like doing it to be honest, purely because I don't like it when people watch me and come in the fields I'm working in and start following me round, looking, pointing etc. I start making silly mistakes
\
\
I'm exactly the same as well, especially if the chaps in question are broken down, the last thing they want is someone with a camera standing there with them.
Nice pics Nath

now this guys really having a laugh ain't he
must have been drinking or need some glasses for that one when he listed it, don't know if nice is the right word for it

A bit more than I thought...... ?1700 :'( :'( :'( :'(
I was right with my diagnosis anyway, well half right.... two pistons had broken up, they also damaged the cylinder head, bores and turbo....

Not very impressed with it to be honest, 4 years old with 56k on the clock isn't very good for a diesel at all..... nearly as bad as the Range Rover I used to run!
Sounds like your L200 and my Defender are a good pair then, mine is 10 years old and had done 88k and was p!ssing oil out of any seals it could. Just had a ?1200 rebuild (rebore, rings, main shells, injectors, crank seals, head bolts, stem seals) without the clutch and speedo that went afterwards
-
The quote for repairing the engine in my motor......
:o
:o
:o
The cost of rebuilding the engine in mine was scary enough so i dread to think what a Jap engine would cost to rebuild
-
Do you want a smack
???
;D
Give him one for me as well Nath, with a wet fish
:D
-
I give up....
You know what these young lads are like Ol, stubborn and pig headed, just won't agree that theres more than one good tractor out there
:D

Pics are a must of course - you should do some as soon as it arrives and then a few as it gets the little bits and pieces added. I may be on for a trip to Scotland to pick up a Deere 955 combine for a mate in a week or two. Depends whther it will earn more than four days crane work though.
Take a look here Tris, think you may have missed them
-
Get rid of her and buy a Pajero / Land Cruiser or Trooper mate
Had enough of Jap crap as well, my last Fourtrak wasn't any better nor was the L200 doublecab. Landy's may be a bit troublesome but the parts are cheap and they're easy to work on. Bosses Nissan Navara needed a new front prop, quoted ?600 by Nissan, one for my Defender ?85
-
His seat i think that would then be the lot
Too late for that, already needs replacing as cushion on seat back is falling apart
Be like a new one by the time i've finished with it
-
Well mines a 2A so don't need a speedo, it has one speed foot to the floor
;D
Have just replaced rear diff and welded up axle case after it destroyed itself. not long ago put a recon gearbox in and lots of other little bits! Another long list
>
Still enjoy driving it though
Thats true i guess
:D
Mines a 1996 Defender 90 which has only done 88000 miles so not too happy about all what i've just had done to it
-
speedo started squealing in mine about 4 years ago so took cable out of back and that's how it has stayed ever since! Keep meaning to do something about it but...
I would but too many kodak cops about here for the miles i do a year, one in a list of many bills lately, just hit the ?1500 mark now- engine rebore/rebuild, clutch, brake callipers, shocks, radiator, the list goes on
-
The speedo stopping working in my Land Rover and making grating noises. Another ?120 bill for a new speedo!!

A crack appearing in the beam of my beet hoe at lunch time when i looked, thought we'd sorted that problem. Oh well 3 years old and cracked for the last 2 years so was daft to think it wouldn't this year

Nice pics Ben......Oli will like them......
:)
I didn't know we used that sort of irrigation system over here, I thought most folk used drums......
We have several of them in this area Martin, nice big open fields in the area here, our neighbour has one at work but it's never close enough to us to get any pictures. Saves alot of time considering the number of times you'd have to move a reel/gun set up to cover that area.

That's a chap, look after the old girl......
;)
We try to, as its been to wet to get on i hoovered the cab out and polished it inside yesterday. Had a transmission oil change last week, putting in 70 litres 5 at a time is no fun! When i get a chance she'll be washed down, polished and have the paintwork touched up on the front again

now all about that ,dads test driving tomorrow marky at least it can keep up wiyt a combine
It was only an MF 865 as well. Don't know if it was a common fault, can't remember which gears it was between, quite a costly one to fix though from memory
-
:D
:D Nice one Gavvy babes
:D
I used to drive an 8630 that used to do it, not good when you are driving alongside an unloading combine at the time as it only resets when you stop and start the tractor
:D
-
marky i,m about to buy a ford 8730 so if you are nasty about FORDS i will come and park it outside your front door
Hope you've got one without the gearbox fault! Gets annoying when it suddenly stops dead for no reason when you change gear
:D
just for fun , england tractor
