  1. There's a few other bits and bobs that I've talked to Andy about before we get to a Scammell for the front of it Tris but would certainly make an impressive rig, be a bit like a one of Andy's Douglas pole timber trailers hitched up to a Matador one day..... be a serious bit of kit
  2. Cheers Tris aye I wouldn't say I do as many hours as the work's cat but wouldn't be so far behind him hahaha, Yep the rear axle pairs on the old scammell trailer are removeable, just pull a retaining pin and they slide off for loading over the rear
  3. Grand job Martin, look forward to meeting you. Hijack away Smithy hahaha Don't think Andy's done a Browns drag like yours yet, possibly I think he done a Bamlett. Though nice to see your full sized version, thanks for posting it up
  4. Busy times there Smithy. Hope your back to full strength after your short spell of feeling under the weather
  5. Cheers Martin Aye if your there come and say hello, Andy himself will be about as a visitor i think too
  6. Cheers John hoping some of the display will be at Penrith, with a few different models as well
  7. Cheers Mark and Justin I should have taken more pics at the show but camera battery went flat on me
  8. And here's a couple of the tables together from the show and some of the collection out on display
  9. Two more additions to the collection from the recent HEMS show at Burnley a couple of weeks ago, in the shape of a Browns spring tine cultivator and a single leg subsoiler, was nice to get a few of the models out and have them on display alongside Andy's own table of projects and work in progress.
  10. Very nice Martin have to agree with the comments above.... would be a beastly outfit if it was the power source for a set of front and rear mowers
  11. Cheers for sharing Smithy, I didn't go but I know some one who did to look at and try to find more about one of these that his dad once had.....
  12. Cheers Smithy It's good that a photo or two bring the memories flooding back, even if they aren't always good ones
  13. What about this then? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scarce-1-32-Hand-Built-Martyn-Farm-Models-Ford-4610-Tractor-Q-Cab/122151788669?_trksid=p2047675.c100013.m1986&_trkparms=aid%3D444000%26algo%3DSOI.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38661%26meid%3D623439065b214e05ad5962e8ce0f758a%26pid%3D100013%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D7%26sd%3D122138891950
  14. Aye a baler would be something special all right Martin, not on the list as yet though as Andy got a few big projects on going for various folk without the challenge of a baler. The buck rake that's in build I think is a twose push off, that Andy found local to him.
  15. Nice Erik thanks for sharing that, the tractor looks a nice bit of work too
  16. Cheers Martin Aye Andy does a great job with his builds, I'd love a square baler, perhaps a Bamfords, a New Holland or a Nash and a flat 8 sled. There are a couple of things still in the pipeline but they be as and when, Andy gets time for them, a push off buck rake being one on the little list
  17. Cheers Justin and Iain, you might be right about the 384
  18. ....And also another little bit of yellow, in the form of a Bamford's Wuffler the hay and grass silage might be coming to the end of season, but another welcomed addition to the fleet of machinery
  19. A little update of recent arrivals down here in the Valley ... Just in time for the autumn ploughing season, a 3 furrow Rumpstad reversible, based on Andy's 2 furrow base unit, with an extra furrow and a longer slightly stronger main beam, should put a nice load on the 974
  20. And here's a couple of pics taken at a local gathering of a few like minded tractor fanatics, the 7610 belonging to Bill, "Dodgy" Dave's dad who'd lent it him for the run out the little fella climbing out of the cab in the first pic
  21. Well things have been a bit up and down in the Valley of late (no pun intended) but the Major has now gained a bit of assistance in the form of a after market power steering kit, not a bad kit really and easy to fit, makes the tight shunts down at the yard that bit easier, and also helps take the shock out of some of the rough bits of Lancashire highway Sorry about pic quality, taken on my phone..... And then had her out for a run to give her a good test in the September sunshine, only real issue was a slight weep on the return to tank line but once given a nip up it cured itself, also the check chains have had a bit of a refurb after getting replacement turnbuckles off Patrick Edwards, so only real thing that needs attention at the back end is the lift arm ends, as the balls are a bit baggy, Further work on the pick up hitch has been slow but got the main pivot bushes now machined up on lathe so perhaps over winter i'll get on with it.
  22. He was lucky the walkers found him Smithy. Must have been a long old wait hoping someone would come to his rescue.
  23. Some nice models on display there Cyril, thanks for sharing
