  1. Well time for a little update, Levelling box and lift rod been fettled up and had a lick of empire blue, just waiting for a pair of knuckles to arrive and then they can be re-pinned back on the tractor, one of the threads needed a bit of attention but now seems fine, Whilst the paint was out the genuine recycled Scania steel pipe got a lick or two of paint after I'd bent it up and had a trial fit, for the tipping pipe, so hopefully over the weekend these bits will get refitted, and all being well, do the oil and filters change. Oil didn't seem too badly priced through our supplier at work at £12 a gallon.
  2. Nice rig there Martin will we see it in action in a small dio in the future?
  3. Another one to the full size collection smithy?? looks original enough and un molested, though at this rate your new shed / washroom / kitchen won't be big enough
  4. John Charnley and sons of Brindle in Lancashire will have all the bits you need Cyril but wont be the cheapest, Agriline Products do a few bits for Nuffields, as do Dunlop tractor spares, and AMG engineering.
  5. Cheers for the responses Mark, Smithy and Erik will have to keep my eyes out for a bargain or two if I'm going to go for the set ..... come to think of it Mark the 5000 demonstrator is here somewhere as I bought a pair of them at Lanark a couple of years back off Graham and Michelle when they had them on offer at £30 as a show special.....
  6. Cheers Mike will have to get the tape out and have a measure up
  7. Latest addition, in the shape of a bargain from the Dodgy wee one called Dave a 2009 Doe Show Doe 130 model, first of the Doe Show limited edition tractors to join the collection, didn't really think about buying these at the time of release but if they come up for sale from time to time and the price is right I might add a couple more Does anyone know how many years these models were produced for the show and what tractors where for what year?? this 130 being the 2009 edition, and I know they did a 7000 and a blue and orange super major but can anyone shed any light on these?
  8. Nice collection Mike, some different models there on your shelves and nice to see the odd Leyland and Nuffield sneaked in too Just a quick question...what size (width x depth) is the shelves in your Billy bookcases? trying to find a couple of suitable cabinets for some of my Classic Combines models but the ones I've looked at so far aren't big enough to allow full use of the shelf and have a lot of dead space....thinking they might have to be bespoke jobs to get the best fit of shelf space.
  9. little update.... Couple more parts arrived this week courtesy of Agriline, great service and would recommend them to anyone that's needing parts for a tractor , the wee haul consisted of a "livedrive" badge for the grille, an External services valve knob and rubber gaiter, and a set of filters for the fuel, oil, and hydraulics so she can have a service soon. Got the tipping pipe I was making bent up and swaged but will have to give it a coat of paint or two as couldn't find any stainless steel hydraulic pipe the right diameter in our stores at work..... so it's bent out of a piece of Scania truck rear axle steering pipe Next on the shopping list is a gallon or two or three of oil and a headlight bulb that's out then can have an hour or two on her with the spanners.
  10. looking at the shape of the tank your building I reckon it'll be something like this for your xerion..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySnBa0eJhus

  15. it doesn't look too bad on it Sean though a 6 pot would be a bit better for it I'd have thought, quite liking the idea of exploring the route of a 1174, bigger not too big and useable around a grassland farm..... !454 be a nice project too with Joe PM'ing me the details to the 8600...... need to get myself a plan or two or more projects will get started and they'll get left unfinished on the workbench

  18. Cheers Joe I'd been on their web page at the weekend having a look through there stock lists but didn't get as far as the nashes, sent JMD John, a couple of links over to some items that might have interested him and his lad Matt. Will have to get back on their site and see what I missed though I had mulled over one of these after you PM'd the link. could be a good starting point for a 1454 County http://www.outbacktoystore.com/Home/PA-Farm-Show-Collectibles/1-16th-Ford-8600-Wide-Front-2015-PA-Farm-Show.html
