just drill the rivet out on the series 3 front grill  and same with the other, the line is visable but i thought it was just a mould line, tourns out its a open joint ,i think the later flat front ones will do the same as well, but you wont have the flared  arch  extensions  ,but easily to add to the bodywork  i suspect

Yes I've had the series 3 ones fall off after applying paint stripper, never put two and two together that you could swap them. Infact it's only typing this now I realise that you don't have to scrap a 3 series to do it, as you can simply make the 3 series into a SWB series 2a! Perfect

  2. Going off the comments on the post, the rough shape and Farmmodels.nl's fascination with the brand I'd agree with New Hollander that its a Veenhuis single axle slurry tanker. Given the price I'm guessing it has the full dribble bar and lazy arm setup too!

Its a pity UH didnt put those Valtra Q rear wheels and tyres on the 8S from the word go James. They appear to be the same rims and tyres on the front, and after all the Q and the 8S share the same chassis.

I found myself driving behind an 8S earlier this week that I didnt know the farmer had bought one off, it was covered head to toe in sprayed on mud, really looked the part. And that neat horizontal flashing fender indicator (like on Audi cars) is really cool too😎

And look at this 8S.265 sitting in TNS yard on huge boots🤩

Been meaning to get one since we had this in the yard at my last work place. Brushwood had them on offer so was rude not too. Intend to build the full outfit when time allows.

  4. Two trailer queens added to the Braemere fleet to use for advertising trailer kits, when I finally get them all drawn up! Both from brushwood, Massey 8s, a few at work around us, very stand out tractor whose looks have grown on me, and the UH Valta, couldn't decide which colour but luckily brushwoods stock levels decided that for me.

Great detail on both models but build quality isn't 100%, stiff wheels in the Massey, will loosen the front hub screw's, and the Valtras rear wheels aren't concentric on the axle. I like the little slider tab under the rear links they've introduced for keeping heavier implements up though!

  5. I'd argue Britians haven't had the 'buy a cheap toy tractor market' for ten years plus now. If you go to the agricultural shows the only kids buying Britians etc are those with specific interest in a tractor brand, most likely from a farming background. The general parent with a young child that likes tractors because they've seen one on the telly have been buying the £6.99-£9.99 plastic tat Teamster tractor trailer sets that don't really represent any particular brand or scale. Britains may be the first to break but most companies will be announcing the same thing in the coming months.

  6. Yeah I will probably upload the stl's to purchase on Cults but it was the simplicity that Shapeways would handle all the manufacturing side allowing the items to constantly be instock that was appealing. It would however have been £60 of the hardtop cab and wheels before I'd applied any mark up for having actually designed the thing. Hoping to get nearer to the 20 quid mark for everything you'd need.
