They probably wouldn't leave a mark, she did have an extra axle to share the weight though compared to the Marshall. We run a Marshall a 105 on slightly smaller boot's and they soon start slipping and digging in when they find a wet spot, we did run her on a set of old combine rears once, but was a bit too wide for most gates, eleaveate the rut problem though ;)

We've got 4 tractors and the matbro on 400 suckler/beef and I still spend most of my time behind the tractor or taking pipes on and off the matbro :D They need to design something that connects all the pipes and pto's automatically :D Nice pics Nash, need some floats for your marshall, I see ruts :o

I had the pleasure or driving one of these throughout the summer and they aren't a bad tractor . The one i had been well worked but still tidy, 9000hrs on 01 plate i think :o Good engine and powerful, didn't know it had a 8 tonner full of silage on the back soon got through all the gears ;D I did however let another chap have it when the Case CVX 130 arrived, now that blew the pants off the deere!! Got loads of pics on my phone that need downloading still :

I'm still based there and down there everyday like but I don't get many full days to mess around with the beef herd anymore. I've even started mountain biking i'm on the tractor that much, gettin a belly n chin :D

Aha cheers gav, that makes things clearer So the gears are basically a revised dynashift simple but effective, good then as never had much problems with that. Is there 2 types of F/R shuttle, in the pictures I have it looks like there is a lever coming from the dash but all the pics on the tinternet show it with the shuttle lever coming from a console just below the steering wheel? Don't think I'll find much to beat the 11t lift capacity yet, contract ploughing next!! Does it have 1 hydraulic pump or 2, what are they like?? I've had problems with the 6180 ones, burnt them both out costing a small fortune, thats what puts me off the renault with the MF rear!! Does it have something like datatronic, come in handy on the Massey suppose I could live without it if I had to, just come in handy every now n then. Whats the cab like, spacious? Looks similar to the MF cab is it? Needs to be gutsy and powerful, has the job of pulling artics n step frames loaded up with some weight aswell as hedgecutting and grassland work. Now does anyone know were to get a brochure on this series or know of some good pics the ones the rep gave me of the cab are useless :D :D Sorry flower *

Eh up chaps, Need some advice, I've been offered a X reg Renault 735 RZ, 4400 hrs, 80% tyres rear - 20% front, air con, cab suspension, 3 spools, telescopic hitch, pretty good condition, main tractor on ex arable farm on heavy clay all for ?15000 pennies. Just need to know what there like really, are they reliable, what are there common problems that they suffer from? It's a deere engine so i'm guessing thats bomb proof? Massey back end is what worries my in fact anything from them does now! What series is the lifting gear taken off, 8200 series, how does it perform? What are the gears like, semi powershift, clutchless shuttle?? I haven't seen it in person yet, need to know the finer details first to see if it's worth taking a proper look at next week? Massey 6180 is a bag of spanners now, far too many problems!! It's a toss up between a Renault or NH TM150 need more ponies for these artics ;D Cheers guys, Nath

A long story, but my mate took out one side of a bus, windows everything, with his Quicke loader at dusk last night \ \ \ He was stationary just about to pull out of his drive with lights and everything, loader up in the air with the squeeze pointing down i think. Bus driver must of focused on the tractor and not on the squeeze and POW. Luckily no one was hurt, only 1 person on the bus. It'll need about 7 new windows and a few good rips in the tin work sorting. All we need is a new Kverneland tine for the squeeze :o Good old Mchale engineering!! He didn't finish wrapping for me till about 2am this morning :D

Yesterday infact, contract baling 2nd cut about 80 acres of it out on the opencast. I'd say the 2nd cut yielded better results than 1st cut, a lot better grass and a lot more of it, about 10 bales to the acre :o

Nigh on exactly the same as me then Stevo, 6 weeks hedge bashin everyday except for 4 days mowing and baling the other week. There just like yours too if not worse, all opencast site work, first time the hedges have been cut in 6 years do to numerous change overs, you can imagine the state there in!! Our poor McConnel PA is struggling that much were seriously looking at buying something bigger asap were not even halfway through yet \ \ I'll try get some pics of the madness :D

Where running down to a slower pace now. The cattle are gradually coming back to the farm for winter ,have about 70 out of 400 in on corn, when there all in it will be feeding and bedding for a sizable chunk of the day. Then we'll start getting umpteen amounts of muck and slurry to spread!! Hedge cutting is what were on at the moment and lot's of it, must be close to 400 miles, all on opencast sites. Machinery maintenance is another big one, with all the machinery being pushed to there limits with the harvest, things need some TLC again. Then were on too plouging ready for spring, have quite a bit of contract ploughing this year as more farmers are putting everything down to wheat : Spring calving is next depending on if the bulls got there act together and then were back round to the hustle and bustle again!! Obviously theres other jobs going on but they aren't as big as say silaging, hay making etc hence why you won't see much in the fields.

Looks a well made trailer especially the chassis and door, simple and effective construction. Whats the paint job like on it, I hear they've been having problems?

Saw some maize guys cruising from Ashbourne to Duffield when taking the mrs to work this morning, first lot that I've seen to be cut round here. Was a good long cart too unfortunately, too many JQ's holding me up > JD 7500 Case MXM 190, NH TM 165, JD 6920 and 6920S all on 14 tonne Baileys. JD 6520 and Valtra T151 on 10/12 tonne Marshall QM's. Wasn't too bad a site at 7.30am :D

Just been watching the local contractors attempting to chop 60 acres of soggy sh1te sorry silage. It's been down for the last week and with the rainfall we've had it's one hell of a mess!!! The claas Jaguar 840 can't make it up the slighest incline even with 4wd and the 14 tonne Baileys have about a 3 tonne max worth of grass in them before there leaving for the pit. Ruts galore, mud everywere and I should think one very embarrased farmer and contractor, I know I would be!!! :

I, well the girlfriend really managed to get some snaps of us doing our IRG haylage campaign this year. We were tedding mainly, trying to get the 120 acres ready asap which we did, tedding the same fields 5 times :o Any questions just ask :) The good old Massey was in for it's pre-silaging service so I was on the nippy maxxum 5130 plus Here I am taking a speedy headland turn, tedding at about 7kph as it was pretty thick!! [ The missus catching me on my good side, trying to unravel some grass that had got caught up in the rotors One minus the big bum :D A Nath's eye view from the cab. Behind the baler: JD 6920S and NH BB 940 Nearly has a rear like mine The baler: NH BB 940, was just waiting for the dealer to bring 2 new knotter springs at this stage. The Johnny ***** her self, 6920S. A pretty smart machine, just sounds like a souped up G reg Nova when it's trying to power the baler A dodgy one this, trying to fix the knotters on the BB, was 3rd time lucky with this baler as the JD 100 and another BB 940 that come both had a few minor problems to say the least!!! And lastly one of the bale trailers, the NH TS 115 had gone awol at this point

We've had 3 big balers in to do it and all have broken down, one NH BB 940 blew a flywheel bearing after 50 bales yesterday, JD 100 came in as backup but couldn't handle the swath did 20 acres in like 8 hrs, f'in useless currently have another BB 940 trying to bale up but thats just snapped 2 knotter springs : Not good when you have 80 acres rowed up ready for baling :o I'm quite happy tedding with the maxxum and Kuhn GF though, no problems for me yet and my tractor has nearly 11 years on theres, new tackle doesn't always pay off ;D Pics to come later ladies more tedding to do (another yawn smilie) :D

Local farm is doing it's silage already this morning went past at 7am and they were just firing up the mengele, won't be much sugar in that grass!!! MF 3070 with Fella rake NH TM 190 with Mengele SH 40N NH TS 115 carting with 2 Griffiths 12 tonners JD 6420 buckraking on the clamp

I have a P reg on 6,100 hours too, a few niggles but nothing serious with mine, touch wood :D
