  1. they are the only 1 32 schuco make now , as the 1st edition ones are discontinued now ! the black version is a convo conversion and in my opinion looks stunning and really pleased with how hes turned out . we cant all be spot on with whats coming out in real life comparisons !
  2. yeah , Alex black 724 looks a bit different ! another 2 724s to go with the other 2 already in the fleet , keep the drivers happy and the reputation in line !
  3. 1st of march , weve just been to collect a couple new toys ! Been down to redlynch and picked up our 2 new 724s , couldn't find no spare drivers so decided to go down with the low loader and bring them back in 1 hit , The 6930 jd has gone down to the farm and a 7530 has gone back as part x , Couldt really resist the deal so decided to bite the bullet and get geared up for the summer in good time , also just got the hedgetrimmer off and parked in the workshop ready for an overhaul for next autumn, on the plus side 95% of the hedgetrimming we managed to get done .
  4. good work joe , I will have a closer inspection and see what hes done
  5. well joe it has got a pin for the top link to fit in , but it hasn't got any pins for the link arms , or my one hasn't ! got some a frames knocking about so mite just take the old britains style linkage off and mount the a frame
  6. yeah ol he does sit a bit further back than id like mite have to make a few slight alterations just to bring it in a bit , like you said quite impressive model otherwise , in my opinion the best mounted spreader out there at the moment
  7. thanks paul , yeah they just add that little bit extra realism , worth every penny !
  8. just a little update , with a break in the weather managed to get on with putting a bit on mop fert on 30 acres of winter barley , ground conditions proved to be not bad considering the changeable weather at the minute .Myself been down to Vaughan agri with the 828 to pick up a new Richard western , the 1st of a couple which have been ordered in for this years silage , also expecting a couple more new arrivals in the next week !
  9. thought u was washed away down there this afternoon ! looks like its coming on well though
  10. thanks ol , we try to follow the farming year as best as possible to make it as real as possible , yes reading stories on dairy farming doesn't feel you with too much confidance , but on the other hand we are guaranteed a pay cheque at the end of every month , and as with everything else it seems to be swings and roundabouts and what best suits your farm .but no there wont be less cows at orchard and on the other hand a massive increase in cow numbers isn't on the agenda either , but just a steady flow of 1st calving heifers coming through will keep things ticking along .
  11. thanks dan , yeah were both pretty pleased with how its all working , we thought it was something a bit different ,plus we are only a couple of miles apart so makes a lot of sense
  12. End of the week , we've just taken delivery of a load of stock feed potatoes from Oakley , they will be mixed in the diets for the cows and heifers , 1 more week left for hedgetrimming and we're down to just the road hedges left to do and a few customers horse paddocks then we can say goodbye to the hedgetrimmer for a while ! Hitched up the sprayer yesterday to go out and burn off 200 acres of stubble , we didn't get very far as the weather decided to take a turn for the worst , so that'll be a job for next week , weather permitting !
  13. sounds busy dave ! be nice if you could get a picture up with all the tractors and ploughs together
  14. busy week yet again due to the dry weather with only the odd deluge of rain , the spreaders just returning to the yard after a week spreading for alex down at Oakley , 1200 acres or so spread with another 300 acres to spread at a later date , ground conditions not too bad and the boys kept on plugging away to get the job done , back at home we've managed to keep on going with the plough and today we just started to put in 50 acres of beans , looks like tonight will be a late one as some heavy rain forecast at the end of the week . also made a deal with alex to take delivery of a load of stock potatoes a week , so we can mix in to the cows and heifers diet rations . A successful trip to Germany with alex has proved to be well worthwhile as a productive meeting with fliegl and fendt was well worth traveling for as all will be revealed in the next week or so !
  15. jobs coming in thick and fast due to the half decent weather and better ground conditions, the spreaders now fully booked up for at least 10 days if not more , and we have had to get local contractor stew Elliott in aswell with his tractor and spreader , time for a quick clean off and grease up , diesel all tractors and then there off to spread for alex down at Oakley , a mere 1200 acres to get across , should keep the boys busy .
  16. a quick update to whats been going on the last week down here at orchard , a quiet few days has meant we have had a chance to get some machines in the workshop , firstly we've had 3 of the fendts in and they have had a service and we have put chequer plating on the backs of the mirrors to give them extra protection around all our narrow lanes , and the 936 has been in and been treated to the same but we have also put on some marker boards on for a bit of extra warning , lastly the AD plant is getting nearer completion so a trip overseas with alex is pencilled in to get some ideas kit wise
  17. no ol , its proper soil, came off a potato grader and has been sieved about 5 times to get all the knobs out and leave a fine soil , ideal for sculpting over the layouit and much cheaper than buying soil mixes
  18. nearing the end of the week and were flat out dung spreading at the mo weve got 3 spreaders on with another 2 booked in to come early next week . decided to start ploughing straight in behind , luckily weve managed to pull the plough on not the best conditions but jobs getting done and the wheels keep on rolling , hopefully the weather will start to settle and we can crack on with another 100 acres of ploughing , also been on hauling haylage out to yet more horse customers .On the machinery front we should have a few demo machines turning up in the next couple of weeks
  19. I wouldn't say to popular ol as seems to be more amazone or Kuhn in the area we are , but a couple have popped up in the last 4 or 5 months, they all say its a well built machine though !
  20. Another topsy turvey week weather wise out the way and stop start jobs all week , with spreading heaps of dung and keeping the umbilical kit moving whenever and wherever possible ! , we have managed to get up to branstons to pick up a few load of stock potatoes and bring back to mix for the beef cattle , also a chance to get down to smarts to pick up an ex demo sulky fert spreader , and back in the yard made a start on getting the foragers through the workshop and the 3rd forager has also just turned up on hire from wilsons farming up in preston , looks like our silage season will be starting earlier than usual with how much grass we have got out in the fields at the moment ! Roll on silage season !!!
  21. thank you wayne , a few more additions over the next few weeks hopefully
  22. just a little update from the AD site all silage pits finished underground waste piplines in , dirty water lagoon also finished and plummed in , we have hopefully got the feeder and feeder tank and elevators going in by the wknd , weather permitting that is but everything looking on schedule !
  23. yeah gotta a few in the pipeline to look at mostly green and yellow ! yeah send on a price and were mull both options , You go steady tonight m8 !!
