  1. balers and handlers just setting off to bondip , ilchester for Oakley farms to start baleing wheat straw 500 acre block to start off with, weather permitting ! hope to get a good chunk done before dark !!!
  2. with a quieter couple of days and most of customers baleing up to date , just waiting for the nod from Oakley before we start baleing wheat . time for a service on the john deere self propelled before they go off wholecropping 50 acres of peas and barley , also just started tidying up some hedges around the stubble grounds , and the farm drive
  3. with all the barley cut , baled and hauled away time for the combine to be parked up and refuelled serviced ready for 400 acres to come off , the first loads of barley ready to be hauled off dwn to riverside feeds , then time to get in and rip up the barley stubbles , busy times still at orchard ,

  5. thanks , yeah she suits the umbilical kit , plenty of weight and grip when the going gets tough , reel on the back and slurry pump on the front
  6. were well into the barley at the end of the second day 30 acres dwn , the grain shed starting to look a bit better now weve got some corn to put in , the balers running straight behind the combine just in case weather decides to turn ? , the umbilical kits about to go off to neighbouring farm to empty there dirty water out there slurry pit ,

  8. thanks james , yeah kits coming on brilliant try and keep kit turning over and up to date , few more additions to come and go !
  9. finally the combines just started cutting the barley , only just done 10 acres yesterday to make sure everythings working as it should , hit the remainder next week , just got the direct header on the john deere to start blowing whole crop today 150 acres to do around farm then on to customers farms , all weather permitting ! also looks what turned up new piece of kit our dangreville 16 tonner with fine spreading kit attatchment
  10. combine header in for a look over and getting grain shed brushed out , also pressure washing grain trailers ready to start cutting 100 acres of barley start of next week , now the balers have slowed up just finished haylage only got a few fields of hay around the farm before we get in on the straw and crack on over to Oakley when we get the green light

  12. yeah , there be back in workshop for a once over ready for harvest !
  13. combine now serviced and ready to get in to the first lot of barley hopefully in a weeks time , Both balers been going great guns banging out plenty of bales non stop , the boys just gotta get the remaining bales around the farm stacked away , just put the topdown in the workshop ready for a full service when we get a wet day !
  14. just arrived today claas uniwrap , means we can get rid of the wrapper but keep the claas rollant for a 2nd round baler , also 2 loads of nitrogen fertaliser arrived ready for spreading on the eaten off cow paddocks

  16. some new additions to the fleet just in time for end of first cut silage , and all the fleet now all stickerd up, new to the fleet 2 12 tonne west silage trailers and 2 12 tonne marshall silage trailers , and a new jd 6210r , keep the kit looking spic and span !!

  18. silageing now in full swing ! foragers going great guns and no breakdowns as yet , now time for the first bales of the season ready to be baled up
  19. cheers , we allways try to get some manure out the slurry pit or from field heaps straight after picking up , leaving a 6 week gap hopefully before 2nd cut comes round again ,
  20. the boys are out around the farm getting some manure back over some of the silage grounds
  21. orchard contractors might be able to meet some of your requirements , we currently running with 2 claas quadrants and 2 jcb tm310s and 1 jcb 416 for all loading duties ! we also running 3 rear discharge spreaders all year round , plus wre only up the road just food for thought !!

  23. looking nice alex , how many combines you running now ? where you get your decals done ?
