  1. Ideal , starting to dry up now we've struggled to get the last of it in !
  2. Being nosey Paul what have you used for the floor of the wash bay ?
  3. Another busy week behind us now with all drilling finished on Sunday afternoon , after some testing conditions , the wknd saw all the milkers coming in day & night , now fully on winter tmr and the endless task of straw chopping duties over the winter ! Today the beet harvester going through the workshop before we start digging later this week, still on spreading slurry which seems to be endless but keeping the wheels rolling .Also today saw the arrival of our scania and flat bed , the decision was made over the last few weeks that we would go down this route rather than rely on tractors & trailers and the fact for logistical reasons made better sense , for the time being he'll be used for hauling spuds up to branstons ,and hauling straw all over the place , were just waiting for a tanker then he'll be committed to hauling liquid from our AD Plant and a neighbouring AD Plant a couple miles away giving us greater distance to spread via an accompying nurse tank ! Looking forward to see how it all plans out !!!
  4. Thought it gone all quiet down yonder !! Looks like you got a short window of weather mate
  5. Main thing is your happy !!! Yeah we used to have 1 , he was on the same as tm150 though , both came brand new !!
  6. Cheers Paul ,always got plenty to do to keep the kit moving !
  7. Finally a good week of weather and a few good jobs done , on the maize front managed to get around 300 acres done last week between the 2 foragers , and with the help from Oakley's 2 tractors & trailers to bulk up trailering duties , hopefully by friday this week we should be nearly all but finishing up , spud digging also finished off on Thursday , so Fridays job tidying up and removing soil from the grader and grading shed ! Catching up with ploughing maize stubbles with a few rounds the clock shifts to make up for bad weather the previous week !! So far so good with the wheat drilling and finally perfect conditions to keep the wheels rolling !!
  8. Nice update Paul , like the TM , just wandering what wheel size she's on ?
  9. Good to see an update Paul ! Keep em coming !!!!! Bales look spot on
  10. Cheers James , yeah just a little change came up alright !!
  11. What was gonna be a busy week turned into a knightmare week ! Maize cutting was minimal this week with only around 100 acres done in and out of the showers and time lost to machines constantly getting stuck !! On the plus side we managed to dig potatoes weds upon some of the stoney and dryer ground , even on this ground had the ditch the rowcrops on the 724 and hitch on the 828 to the digger just to keep going only 25 acres left to get in ! Friday saw the arrival of 2 nht7s ,one 18 months old t210 with only 950 hours on her and the other a brand new t7225 which came hitched up to a demo Marshall rear discharge , the 210 gone straight out on hedgetrimming duties , Manage to drill 75 acres of wheat also last week in testing conditions which got the drill underway . today mostly a day to stay in the office and catch up on some much needed paperwork , forecast not brilliant down here for week ahead so looks like jobs starting to mount up !! 12. Good to see someone's getting on the ground ! Like a pudding up the road here , police been around here everywhere aswell not only for the mud on the road but the road worthyness of kit aswell !!
  13. Thanks Paul , haven't been updating as much as I'd like , but seems to be a bit slow on the forum lately ? Get updating , love reading to see what other people are up to !
  14. Been a busy week this week ,with maize well underway ,all systems go !! A total of 6 trailers with team 1 ,team 2 due to get underway later this week , now that all stubbles sprayed off the cultivaters been flat out ripping up around 350 acres of ground ready for drilling in the next week or so . Another team out on spreading field heaps around 5th cut silage grounds , yesterday we were that stretched we had to hire in an extra spreader to cope with the work load . Last week saw us do a deal to bring in 2 possibley 3 tractors on a 6 month hire deal ,hopefully they should be arriving later in the week , just waiting for clearance through the workshop from Buglers Agri . Plenty to keep all at HQ going for the coming weeks
  15. Maize nearly ready to start , now that all our grass silage is finally coming to an end ! Some of the boys in the workshops getting maize kit ready , ie trailers , buckrake , loading shovel, just got a new edition to the fleet we've managed to get a low houred year old r series , with a bit of customisation looking a bit different with the help of smarts , also last week we added another 16 tonne trailer to the fleet , again black customisation Richard larrington ,this time bought from Alex dwn at Oakley's ! Mean looking combination coming up the road !! Back at HQ now silage fields are off a chance to get on with the unbilical and slurry tanker
  16. Finally some decent gaps in the weather this week , the last of the balers back in the yard after an emergency for a neighbouring farmer when his baler broke down , so a quick 45 acres of oats wrapped up , now back for a service and ready for a dash round on some 4th cut silage next week . Managed to get the sprayer out on stubbles with the unimog in tow as not to waste too much down time running around for refills , the last of the grass seeds in yesterday aswell , All 5 spreaders been down to Oakley's spreading compost , there due to return later today ! , so gradually getting up to date now before we get into maize harvest !
  17. Harvest 2017 officially done and dusted for us today , the last of the beans are off by 1 o clock today , combine and header back in yard and all being pressure washed off ready to be packed away .All in all a fairly hassle free harvest and minimal down time with breakdowns , just being delayed by the weather like most of the country, luckily nearly all our corn hasn't had to go through the dryer which is a bonus , only the last few acres being over the top with moisture levels ! Attention now starting to turn to potatoes , with the irrigation reel being removed yesterday , next in line the hedgetrimming around the stubbles ready for cultivations and residing of grass seeds !
  18. Got a bit sticky dwn yesterday afternoon m8 !! Good to see wheels just about still turning
  19. Ere wos found a money tree dwn the road !! Nice smart set up Alex
