Is there anyone out there who can 3D print a 1.32 scale series3 grill?
Strange what you can find when rummageing around, No idea if this would be any use though,??

I reckon the thick part of the grill would be fairly straight forward useing an FDM ( filament ) 3D printer, But to get the thin mesh printed would require the finesse of a resin printer, If James see's this he may confirm,

Universemini have them on their web site as ( add to cart or reserve the item ) same as all the stuff on site, Pity 3D scanners are not as good as the printers as they have the standard Volvo LHD dash for sale at €9.80, Scanning that them mirroring it in the slicer would make a really good RHD dash,

Cheers James meant to "Google" that yesterday, Mobile phones really not my thing, Worst invention of the 21st Century in my book, After sleeper cab's that is, The last phone I bought just a couple of years ago came with two of those plastic screen films, I was going to use one on a project but I will need to restart that now I have a smidge of CAD ability.
PS also thought this might be good for the black rubber surrounds as it has a really fine nozzle,

I don't think screen protectors are the right material for the job I'm afraid Joe. They behave like glass when it comes to cutting and shaping, I think they'll just shatter/spider web at the first touch of a craft knife. I use 0.5mm clear plasticard, works well and comes with protective backing front and back so you don't scratch or mark it while cutting.
These were what I meant James, plastic screen film, £ 2.60 for 10, 26p each, ??

Just cut a corner off the spare one I got with my last new phone, cut's no problem, But there again it is a flexible material, No idea what it is but the phone is an Android Blackview 80.

Ah right, just been thinking, If you bought one of the Marge Volvo kits would that make applying decals and painting any easier haveing all the parts to hand like, ??
Regards
Joe.

Sorry Sean I never zoomed in, those decals 'specially that really thin one around the grill and wee side air scoop would be a real pain just to apply never mind print, Surprised that orange is off the shelf, don't recall see any that colour, The Hillman Imp I sat my test in was orange, but that wasn't yesterday,

Joe.

Oh I don't know, You could sketch up roof lights headboard and Roo bar, MaGe would probably send colour matched air kit, matching the orange for the Roo bar might be tricky though,

sorry joe, which option? not at my best right now so may be missing the obvious here
I deliberately didn't mention the option as I figured you would know straight away, But I had also forgotten you were Lurgyfied last week, Steve got it in one, When MarGe released the orange Volvo you said you would have had one if it wasn't for the roof Beacon, Firm down your way run's orange one's but I can't remember their nay, ??

Excellent model James very well put together, 3D printing is definitely the future for model making / building a little grasp of CAD and the World is your oyster, The things I have sketched up in recent months is just amazeing, On the subject of cab glazeing I'm just wondering how good smart phone screen protectors would be. I had an idea to try that a few months back but the .stl file I had for a DAF CF didn't download properly, ??

Also from Facebook, This should be very popular in U.S and European spec. Although I reckon the fat tyres and the silver colour will get a bit of grief.
