  1. Had these 2 today. I thought I ought to get the 8400 before they all sell out. Very nice imposing model but the front linkage is going to need a spot of glue. the Marge Case Magnum is a replacement for one which came the other day which turned out to have misaligned steering. The replacement one isn’t perfect in the front axle department either so must have been a bad batch but I will put up with it.
  2. Found this photo of the JD 4960 due later in the year
  3. I have bought a replacement for my battered old Fiat Hitachi loader in the form of a Volvo L60H, and also something I’ve been wanting to get for a while, a Britains Ransomes Nordsten drill which is in very nice condition
  4. I would like to add weights to this model but I think the DT ones with the headlights would sit too high up possibly? I wondered whether the ones in the HLT picture would look better? Screenshot from YouTube of a real 4450 by the way
  5. Britains John Deere 4450 from an eBay seller from Ludlow, bought yesterday and came today
  6. UH didn't have a stand there apparently, but did make some announcements. The piece in CT says they plan to release the four or five combines 'in time for harvest'. Didn't state if that means the 2024 harvest though!
  7. Just reading the Nuremberg report in the latest Classic Tractor which says that as well as the TX 66 and Massey 760, UH also plan to release an NH CR11 and Fendt and MF liveried Ideal combines
  8. I’ve just been watching the Farming With Ford DVD and one of the featured tractors is a Ford 9700 - what I was wondering is what visual differences there are between it and a TW20? It looks to me as though the 9700 had a different front axle and rear wheels and taller air cleaner but otherwise very similar?
  9. There is an article in the Oct 2023 Classic Tractor on a contractor who has used 50 Deeres in the past. Can see two 4450s in his list, one from 1984 and one from 1987
  10. Just replied in your topic Paul but was sent Monday and came today. Parcelforce delivered it. Maybe there wasn’t an issue as it was through eBay - I think the postage was twice the cost of the actual item though so not a cheap way around it by any means.
  11. I just bought a weight block off the same company (albeit via eBay) and it was sent Monday and arrived today - wasn’t a cheap option mind.
  12. Bought one of these front weights from Universmini via eBay
  13. Nice find Hugh - regret selling the one I had (can say that about more than one model)
  14. I bought this New Holland telehandler off Amazon - I still have the blue one which I quite like and whilst I like the new yellow colour scheme on the new one it should not be black but dark grey. The front lights and mudguards are correct for the old model but they updated them (when they were still blue I believe) so aren’t correct. It still doesn’t look too bad to me though
  15. My Brushwood breakers yard purchase has arrived today, a Blue Power T6. It was being sold with just broken off beacons so I went for it. Unfortunately the bonnet came off during posting and has resulted in several chips to the paint and the side lights being broken off. I’ve glued the plastic bits back on but I’m not sure what to do about the paint damage.
  16. Bought another Marge T7 HD, this time the Blue Power current version. Although I am very pleased with the new UH T7.300’s I really do like these hefty old things
  17. I’ve seen a Quadtrac with a spreader before, definitely overkill. I am thinking about getting the Kuhn trailed spreader - then I can start helping the neighbours too 😂
  18. I was thinking of getting a trailed fertilizer spreader as there is no top link on the Kuhn Axis I have and the UH Amazone and Sulky mounted spreaders aren’t easy to find - but I don’t think those big spreaders are common around here (I have seen a large Bredal machine for spreading lime however) but there is one tractor the spreader will attach to as the hook on the top link is wide enough to hold it - and that is the Marge T7550. I’ve attached it to the Blue Power version here
  19. you can notice the shorter length of the PLM 270 in the 5th picture
  20. I took these on Tuesday, saw another beet harvester in action, this time a much more modern one. Also a Valmet 6000 spreading some fertilizer
  21. Also had the new T7 tanking slurry too
  22. excellent! Replicagri make some great implements, but they are not the easiest to attach
