  7. there are still a few big farms up my way that still run some older kit in reserve. nice to see it against the newer kit.
  8. ye when i am at home i am about 15 miles from Nethertons or about 9 miles from brechin. but am at work just now so a good bit away in another country. have taken holiday in august so i can get on the 6830 for a couple of weeks. will also get a couple of the the 8000 series working it is a beast. was probarly charlie showing you round as he is the manager overall. the 8530 is a beast getting more common in our area one of my mates have one and the other has 2. the guy with two run a fleet of about 9 deeres and the lexion 600 terra track. did you see any of the girls at ross agri my mate works there a girl called niki
  9. blake the 8000 series is the spare tractor of one of my mates farm, did you get to speak to jim carr the head mechanic there are a couple of models i have made on hids computer. good place nethertons all our tractors come from there.
  10. ye it was some outfit before they split. they used to run a good few trucks for the grain dryers. they also used to have a few class challangers as well.
  11. was that the dryer sheds at the old american base at Edzel
  12. carnegie used to be alot bigger but the family split the farms up. they used to have some set of dryers at steel strath which my dad repaired for them.
  13. well we have been out spending a bit of cash,first we have bought a kuhn XL, also as the 84 will be used on this we have bought a 8530 to handle the drill. also have bought a 6930 with front hitch. this will probarly be fitted with row crops for tattie harvest pulling the harvester.
  14. well it isn't finished yet but it getting there so thought i would put some pic up. still have to glaze it put mirrors on it finish light finish cab interior. also have the decal to fit after i cut it done to correct size.
  15. very nice machine there. what did you use as your base model as it doesnt look like the ertle 3350
  16. were the early 65 not the same horse power as the 64's a (100hp)
  17. so what is the difference in price between the 66 and 65 then.
  18. good to hear ricky. would you say the 6420s is a better tractor for power than the 65. my mate ran one of the first 65 i think that was towards the end of the 00 series and soon changed it for a 6 cylinder 6810 said it was a bit heavy for a 4 cylinder machine.
