  1. Just for you green boys out there, Got a bit more done to the shed yesterday got the front pillars and the inside done. Still not to sure what colour to do the roof? Go for the green to match the rest or try and get some gray slate. Got the walls and some trees down and got the light in the shed just needs wiring up. Got two days off this week so hopefully will be finished by the weekend. P. S. This is why you shouldn't smoke around farms mjb 1, The tupperware lagoon was there ready for the next fire.
  2. Ha so do I It was lunch time and I arrived in the farm yard , had been out ploughing on a massey 390 and there was the boss talking to a sales rep with his car parked right in the middle of the yard and I tried to squeeze past the car and the H upright on the hayshed, well missed the car but straight into the upright bent like a banana. The boss wasn't to happy so I just turned around and pushed it back again. To this day it's still a nice s shape, So we are all not perfect eh
  3. I thought it was about time I built a hay shed, but I didn't have any space left so I have extended the board a bit. I managed to scrape together some MDF and come up with this not that good to behonest the front pillairs are a bit wobbley. The sweat was running into my eyes, it's in the mid 30's here. A bit of paint and (*****) brickpaper will hopefully cover them up. Does it get your approvel lads or what. I will take photos when finished off. Cheers lads.
  4. The collection is starting to build up down here on the farm, Jd's seem to be taken over. It might explain that the j d dealer is the only place where I can get Britains stuff. My boss had been into the New Holland dealer the other day and seen some 1:32 stuff so I might have a look in there once I've payed for the jd stuff.
  5. Well there has been a delivery of some more new machines down at Richies farm, Not to sure how Ia'm going to pay for them yet but who cares. I don't. It has taken 10 weeks to get these but it has been worth the wait. A J D mower and a J D silage trailer. Ia'm really happy with the mower it's got some nice detail. I had a bit of a problem fitting it to my jd 7920 had to make some slight ajustments to the link arms to fit. Well spotted there mjb not too sure what prickpaper is either well not on this web site anyways.
  6. Yes what can I say that shed is bloody great. That must of taken hours but well worth it. Now just tell me how much the post is and what day u are going to send it to me. Ha Ha. Well done.
  7. Yes they are home made, The fronts and the sides are 6mm MDF and the roofs are 4mm MDF and some have brick paper on them and the others are just painted( couldn't get any more brickpaper). The old shed with the three arches is painted and the stones are drawn on with a pencil. Altogether paint, wood and prickpaper would have cost $30 10-15 pounds and a few fiddley hours to put together.
  8. Well there not going to last at this farm for long. There goes the thought of building a hay shed.
  9. Yes Iv'e told him last week that if he doesn't get his finger out he's gone, ( back to the council) and the bloody fitters they have being trying to fix a hydrolic pipe on that back hoe for weeks, bloody hopeless. Well as you can see I have some new staff and I insisted they wear short tight clothing so it wont get caught in the machinery. Yes they, two for the price of one Twins to be correct and Ia'm looking forward to working with them alot. The other photo is of the class lexion 580 anybody who has bought one will khow that the auger only comes out so far, Well if you take the first four screws out and undo the screw that holds the auger in you can cut a little off the plastic lip but not too much and screw it back in, and hey presto just the dogs balls.
  10. Got a new delivery for the harvest today a green marston trailer,It was sent from the uk on Thursday and I recived it today(monday) in Australia, good going or what? Ia'm still waiting two months on for a silage trailer and mower from a J D dealer here in Australia. It cost 11:00 pounds just for the marston trailer so Ia'm just going have to wait to save money.
  11. That looks great tm, can't wait for the next photos. There has been alot of time and effort gone into building them sheds. Were did you get that seed drill from and who makes it.
  12. Well no they were not dowels as such, They are kabab sticks, I made them 6cm long but I would try some at 5cm the lads think they are a bit long, (so do I ) and a pencel sharpener.
  13. Yes I agree with you all Bring back the County. Because I didn't get one the first time round.
  14. Contract work this farm has no animals ( the ones in the photo's are the neighbours in which he is renting the land off me. Ha got out of that one eh.
  15. Well not much going on the machinery front so time to catch up on some fencing.what do u's think?. Have I got the fence posts to scale or not.? I went by the guy in the door way, I remember when I was fencing the posts were a bit taller than me. Thanks.
  16. I grow about 800 acres of winter barley.
  17. Now thats what I call a model farm it puts mine to shame.Like you's say it needs bigger fields
  18. That is very nice man, very nice.I will try and talk to the wife. Iwould love one, but we'll see.
  19. Yes they are the heads off the posts, The lights are highway lights for 00 scale train sets, The heads look alright on the buildings but the posts are a bit small, But what the hell eh.
  20. Well the second last load to dry thank goodness for that. This year I've had not too much of the harvest to dry which is good, because of the price of desiel.
  21. Just a couple more photos, one of my dumping spots you will find on most farms for my scrap machinery and the other one, winter's coming and time to start making room for the machinery to be put under cover.
  22. Good answer mjb I like that one. You have given me a bad thought if I have too move house it took me hours to put all them wires for the lights in.
  23. When I was making the sheds FB I did think about putting backs on them but I didn't have a plan in my head were I was going to put them ie; the way they are now or put two together to make the shed deeper. I was only going to make one to put the combine and the forager in but you know you get carried away. I might think about it now. Thanks FB.
  24. Yes Newholland2 is right dphinton U.H. Renault Atles 936 rz .It's a nice detailed model same that the duals don't come off and it hasn't got the Britains hitch. It's a lot bigger 1;32 scale than the rest of my tractors. It was the best one I had untill I got the jd 7920
  25. Yes you's are right, But all of my Britains are in my parents loft in the uk this is all I have been able to get. There is only two descent hobby shops in Perth Western Australia and they dont do a great deal in 1;32 scale, A local JD dealer has just started getting this scale in I ordered a jd mower and marston trailer and they said they only get two deliveries a year for models lucky this month is the next one most of the stuff they sell is 1;64 and 1;18. The hobby shops had not heard of Britains and games world shop had one siku fendt in and I got it. There is a toy fair on at the end of the month and Ia'm hoping theres some farm scrap bits. It is like pulling teeth out here to find 1;32 stuff. I have looked into mail order from over sea's but it is not worth it by the time you pay p.p. with the exchange rate. ie; 40p to the Oz dollar. But I will get there. Thanks lads.
