  3. No better feeling when the get up while you are giving them a bottle, had one once that was nearly dead, ears drooped bad, hour later she was walking, Thats what farming is about
  4. That should be enough, just get strips on the tooth frame that go to the back of the bucket. ill mesure teh thickness of my bucket, we abuse it to max! still havent bent it 4 n 1 bucket is the other option... Or chuck away your stright bucket and get a toothed one and make a slip on straight edge, that is the easyest way.... makes the most sence to me realy
  5. So you want a toothed bucket but dont want to lose your straight edge..... easy, go see your loacal enginer and get him to make up a slip on tooth set, couple of bolts hold it on in the bottom of the bucket, and one on each side, slip it over the cutting edge( the straight bit) slip your 4 bolts in (just nuts on the side bolts, break out the soil you need then drop the tooth slip of and you have a straight edge again...
  6. Thank you erik, i was sure red was wrong

  14. Thanks tris and rich The kennan is a idea from where we spent weeks carting silage this year, he has a feed wagon mounted on the back of the truck as the feed storage area is 5km from the closest farm and 20 from the furtherst, they have a redrock mixer wagon for mixing onto the ground then the load the truck with the mix, the mixer on the truck is to heavy to be road legal. hence the double handling. The layout is 5m long by 1.2m wide.. pleanty of space i think....
  15. Well it was time i started a new diorama, run of out cabnet space again This is the biggest display i hav emade, its split level, has a over lap just the right size to use as a big shed Well here are some pics, it has a large feed supply area and thinking of making a feed pad also and the break in crew...

  19. Stunning pics cerin, sharp and clear, and they are all in the middle, how do you do it? Some realy nice kit you get to see running around
  20. Shear grab would be a waste of time in the lose soil, could do it ok in the hard stuff, but you need a big c=garb to have the same cap as your bucket, and they weigh like a lead brick, just get a slightly larger bucket and put bolt on teeth on it. if you had a bigger tractor ida say buy a screening bucket, you get them on pivot steer front end loaders, would suit you to the dot mate, but you need a 6cyl frame for the strength and back end weight...
